Singing Praise To Yahweh

by Hazel Straub

Isaiah 12:2
Behold God, the Mighty One, my salvation, deliverance, health, welfare, prosperity,and victory. I trust, have confidence, am sure, secure, and bold, as he makes me feel safe, so I am not afraid or fearful. For Yah Yahweh, the Existing One – I AM, who is the True God, is my strength, might and song of praise because he is my salvation, deliverance, health, welfare, prosperity and victory.

Lord, open our eyes of our hearts, so we can focus and behold you. Let you, the Mighty One, the Existing One, be revealed to us, with understanding resounding in our hearts. We open our mouths to raise a song of praise to you, who saves, delivers, keeps us healthy, well, prosperous and victorious. Our grateful songs of praise flow, from our hearts. Thank you Yahweh. Hallelujah! (Join us in praising Yah!)

Power Of Speech Gives Life Or Death

by Hazel Straub

The children of Israel had wandered in the wilderness for about 38 years and were thirsty because they had no water to drink. They bitterly complained so Moses and Aaron sought God’s counsel. God told Moses to speak to the rock and water would spring from it. Instead Moses used his staff to strike the rock twice bringing forth water, calling the people rebels and taking the credit for the water. Instead of the power of the spoken word being demonstrated, the people associated the water with the wooden stick that Moses used and not speech that agrees with God, producing a miracle of supply. God’s glory and honor went to Moses and Aaron, so God was not respected before the people. Additionally, speech that agrees with God requires more faith than using an object such as a stick that people could worship or view as magic. Moses and Aaron disobeyed God, causing them to not enter the Promised Land. Our speech reveals our mindset and our heart. Out of our mouth proceeds either life or death that flows from our heart. It shows either obedience or rebellion to God, as our voice affects the lives of many. May your tongue bring blessing and life, honoring God.

Numbers 20:2-13 (NIV)
“Now there was no water for the community, and the people gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron. They quarreled with Moses and said, “If only we had died when our brothers fell dead before the LORD! Why did you bring the LORD’s community into this wilderness, that we and our livestock should die here? Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to this terrible place? It has no grain or figs, grapevines or pomegranates. And there is no water to drink!” Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the tent of meeting and fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them. The LORD said to Moses, “Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.” So Moses took the staff from the LORD’s presence, just as he commanded him. He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?” Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” These were the waters of Meribah, where the Israelites quarreled with the LORD and where he was proved holy among them.”

Relax – God Is In Control!

by Hazel Straub

Proverbs 19:21 (Amplified Bible)
“Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.”

Often we make our plans and do not consult God. We devise our life plans, as we expect that our life will go from point A to point B to point C. The Lord, however, has plans and purposes for our life that we do not expect. It is his plans that will prevail in our life. We would save ourselves much grief, if we submitted to the Lord trusting him to direct our steps. His purpose and plan for your life prevails. When we trust him, we will not spend time getting anxious but will relax because God is in control.

God’s Correction Is Love

by Apostle Christiana Robinson

In this season, God is helping us do what we can’t do. Some of us have addictions and unhealthy habits that we can’t break in our own strength. We try and try but seem to succumb to the weakness of the flesh. Sometimes we make excuses to justify our addiction or unhealthy habit. God may have even told us personally or through other people the strategy to overcome. But we choose to yield to the lust of the flesh that cries out for more of the addiction or unhealthy habit.

God says, ‘It’s time to choose, life or death. I am pouring out my abundant grace to you, so you may overcome. My love for you is correction. My correction, for you is my love. I don’t want you to die but to live. I don’t want you bound; I want you free. My sons and daughters of Zion, the lion of Judah roars in your defense. His roar outweighs the human sound wave and breaks into pieces the hidden chains. The devil wants to trip you up with hurtful addictions and unhealthy habits that hinder your progress and not help. My love for you is so strong that I will do whatever it takes to help you live physically and spiritually. I am warning the body of my son, Christ that hearing my voice and obeying me is important. I would that you be made whole. But you must do your part in the equation. Decide to hear my voice and obey. Deliverance comes in many fashions. One of them is simply hearing my voice and obeying.”

“This is a new beginning. You’re not the same. You are not taking the old ways with you into the New Year. A new mind I give you through the renewing of my word and the obeying of my voice.”

Focus And Listen To God

by Hazel Straub

God calls us to  focus our attention and listen to what he is speaking. He wants our imaginations engaged in what he is doing and what he has promised. When our outlook rests upon God, committed with confident trusting hope, he keeps us in peace. He calls us to obey his voice and to ignore the voices that call out fear, discouragement and failure. It is when we trust, rely and lean on God, that he enables us to complete our assignments. No matter how difficult it may seem, God is your strength and help.

Isaiah 26:3 (Amplified)
“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.”

Celebrate Yahweh God And Party!

by Hazel Straub

God-seekers run and take refuge in Yahweh God, who protects us from our enemies. It is time, for all who love him, to rejoice, sing and have a party, celebrating Yahweh and his great name. He welcomes, shelters and defends us, surrounding us with his love. Rejoice!

Psalm 4:11-12 (Amplified)
“But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits. For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor).”

Give Us A Good Appetite for God

by Hazel Straub

Matthew 5:6 (The Message)
“You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.”

We all go through cycles of pursuing God, then falling into complacency, and sometimes backsliding. We all need refreshment, revival, renewal and hunger for righteousness in our lives. Often we settle for things that do not satisfy. God has told us to ask him for what we need. There is no bigger need than having an appetite for him. He alone can nourish our souls and spirits.

Daddy God, we know a blessing comes with hunger and thirst for you and your presence. We ask through your son, Jesus, that you give us an appetite for you alone. Make us so hungry and thirsty for you that we will not settle for anything else. Touch us with your power and fill and renew us with your Spirit. Thank you, Lord.

God’s Children-Embraced And Corrected

by Hazel Straub

Embrace Godly correction and discipline. You are in training for reigning. God sees you as his child and helps you become your best, by training, correcting and instructing you in right living.  He deals with those habits and sins that impede your growth. Although it may seem difficult, discipline means you are God’s beloved child. Embrace your discipline not fighting it and wondering why these tough situations happen in your life. You are God’s beloved child!

Hebrews 12:5-11 (The Message)
“In this all-out match against sin, others have suffered far worse than you, to say nothing of what Jesus went through—all that bloodshed! So don’t feel sorry for yourselves. Or have you forgotten how good parents treat children, and that God regards you as his children?

My dear child, don’t shrug off God’s discipline,
but don’t be crushed by it either.
It’s the child he loves that he disciplines;
the child he embraces, he also corrects. (Proverbs 3:11-12)
God is educating you; that’s why you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training, the normal experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God? We respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not embrace God’s training so we can truly live? While we were children, our parents did what seemed best to them. But God is doing what is best for us, training us to live God’s holy best. At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off handsomely, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.”

God Is Your Bodyguard

by Hazel Straub

It is not a gamble to trust God and to run to him for help. He hears and answers you. You always win, when you rely and trust in God, for your help. He is your help and strength.

Psalm 34:17-22 (The Message)
Is anyone crying for help? God is listening,
ready to rescue you.
If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there;
if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.
Disciples so often get into trouble;
still, God is there every time.
He’s your bodyguard, shielding every bone;
not even a finger gets broken.
The wicked commit slow suicide;
they waste their lives hating the good.
God pays for each slave’s freedom;
no one who runs to him loses out.
