You Cannot Outgive God

imagesby Hazel Straub

Have you ever heard the expression, “you can’t outgive God?” It is true, Daddy God gave his only Son to take our punishment, so we could live life abundantly. If he gave what was most precious to him, how much more will he give to us?

Daddy God calls us to follow his son, Jesus who walked the earth doing his Daddy God’s will. He healed the sick, raised the dead, performed miracles, taught, and was an extreme giver, pouring out his life with love, mercy and compassion for others. There is a call on each of our lives to walk, as he did.

Open your hands and release what you have of resources, giftings, love, time, mercy, forgiveness, compassion and caring for others. When you let go and give to others, motivated by love, then there is room for God to pour blessings, without measure into you. The generous never end up as beggars but prosperous.

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25 NIV)

Tired And Thinking Of Giving Up?

falling (1)by Hazel Straub

How many times have we started out on some venture, full of enthusiasm, only to peter out, when it got difficult or boring? Many can recite a litany of reasons why they quit. We tell ourselves, “I didn’t sign up for this,” and opt out. We fail due to “ME-ISMS”, focusing on self (pride) and not on the one who gave his life for us. Instead, if we say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” we will do the impossible.

The journey of life, shapes and matures us, as we walk with Jesus. When we do not allow discouragement and discontent to reign, we will get up after falling. Help comes by listening to the still small voice of Holy Spirit, dying to our flesh along with its selfish desires and living for Jesus. Dead people don’t get offended or worry. Resting in the Lord with an attitude of joy filled, thankful worship, makes the heart merry and the journey easier.

Then Yeshua said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and let him come after me.” (Matthew 16:24 ABPE)

Choose Life Or Death

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAby Hazel Straub

When difficulties surround and squeeze you, one has a choice. You can either spend your time thinking and complaining about the difficulties or you can lift up your eyes and focus on the love and compassion of Daddy God and run to him for refuge and strength. The focus of our thought life grows bigger, as we meditate and rehearse either the problem or the solution. Although you might not have instant deliverance from the trial, he will walk with you through it.

We choose either life or death. Trouble can make us more resilient and reliant, on Daddy God to solve what appears overwhelming to us. Once we come to the end of our resources, we can find that nothing is impossible, when we put our trust and faith in God. If we no longer worship at the altar of self-sufficiency and self-reliance, we will raise our hands in full surrender and depend solely on the Lord. He is our source and has unlimited resources. He will not abandon you to go through trouble alone, but stays closer than any brother.

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2 NLT)

Surrendered!

iuby Hazel Straub

Jesus is only Lord of your life, in the areas that you have surrendered to him. Surrender, means to die to oneself. If you have not surrendered your family, Jesus can’t be Lord of your family. If your money is not surrendered to him, he isn’t Lord of your finances. If you say, “it’s my way or the highway,” Jesus is not in control.

Yielding to God requires his grace, and as you give more of yourself to God, he will give himself to you. Many face challenges in their lives. This could be used by God to urge you to surrender all to him.

Sometimes we refuse to surrender because we are fearful of losing control. Rest in the finished work of Jesus and trust him with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding and acknowledge him in every facet of your life. Have a funeral daily, for yourself. This will enable Jesus to shine out of your life and not the flesh. As you surrender, God brings supernatural transformation. The more you release to him, the more he can fill you with himself. Surrendering to God brings peace, joy, abundant life and purpose into your life.

Depend On God And Don’t Quit

856993381_a1ca0776ceby Hazel Straub

When we think on Yahweh and allow him to be our strength, we live lives of health and prosper in our souls. He is our strength and refuge. We have steadiness to our gait because we keep going in the God way and don’t quit.

At that time, this song
will be sung in the country of Judah (praise):
We have a strong city, Salvation (Jesus) City,
built and fortified with salvation (Jesus).
Throw wide the gates
so good and true people can enter.
People with their minds set on you,
you keep completely whole,
Steady on their feet,
because they keep at it and don’t quit.
Depend on God and keep at it
because in the Lord God you have a sure thing. (Isaiah 23:1-4 MSG)

The Secret To Vibrant Life And Health

iuby Hazel Straub

If you watch or read the news, fear and dread can easily overtake you. The news breeds anxiety and disquiet, as it centers on problems not the solutions. What you allow through your eye and ear gates sets the course for your day. Guard your heart and change what you allow yourself to listen, watch and think on. The world does not offer peace and rest for your soul.

Instead spend your time feeding on Jesus and on the Word of God.  Repeat. speak and think about his incredible love, his words, his forgiveness, and presence that bring life, light and satisfaction. You will find wisdom, strength, health and help for your problems. When you keep Jesus and the Word in front of your eyes, listening and allowing it penetrate your heart, you get life, healing and health to all your flesh. It’s the fountain of youth and the secret to vibrant health and for the wholeness of  your body and mind.

My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22 NIV)

God Grows Us Throough Difficulties

iuby Hazel Straub

Bad things happen to us and we wonder how anything good can come out of the situation. What the enemy meant for evil, God uses for our good. When things get difficult, we cry out for the help of God because we can’t depend on ourselves. Although it is uncomfortable, this time begins a process of relying more on God and having our roots extended deep into the rich soil of his wonderful love, mercy and grace. Bad habits get sanded, in duress. We find that nothing is impossible, when we put our faith and trust in God. No longer do we rely on the circumstances or what we can see in the natural.

If things had gone well, nothing would have propelled us into accelerated growth. Neither would we have learned that God was more than enough to help us through difficulties. Difficult times grow us into maturity and closer relationship with the Lord.

Thank you Lord Jesus, that we experience things outside of our control and find you walk us, through all difficulties to the other side. Nothing is impossible, when we put our trust in you Lord. Yes, I believe you have me covered, under your wings.

Heart Change

iuby Hazel Straub

Genuine change must come from the heart, (our feelings, our will and our intellect). The best self-improvement book or course will not change the heart.  Out of our heart springs the issues of life. Our actions and reactions come from our heart. When our heart is hard, we resist and rebel. If we fix our attention on God and cry out for his help, he answers.  Allow God to change your heart from the inside out and then you will produce good fruit. Love, joy, peace, patience, forgiveness, and obedience.

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” (Romans 12:1-2 MSG)

Your Mouth Is Powerful

by Hazel Straub

We have a powerful weapon iuwhich is our speech. When we are assaulted verbally, physically, spiritually, with those who want our demise, open your mouth. Speak to the mountain and tell it to be removed. Tell debt, doubt, fear, intimidation, unbelief, sickness, discouragement, trauma, pride, stubbornness, failure, negative thinking, poverty to go, in Jesus name. When we condemn these things, they will not win the victory in your life.

We have victory through the blood of Jesus. Ask the Lord for revelation, of the power of your mouth. As you speak in faith, all the weapons that come against you are disabled. Open your mouth and decree that the mountains (problems) be removed.

Your mouth is powerful and so are you!

No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness which is of me,” says Yahweh. (Isaiah 54:17)
