It’s All About Perspective

iuby Hazel Straub

When you look out the window of an airplane at 20,000 feet, your view is much different from ground view. It is all about your perspective. Oftentimes, we have limited eye sight concerning our lives. It is only when we come up higher, that our viewpoint changes. At times we get too involved and entangled in the temporary tests, missing the bigger picture.

We are seated with Christ, in heavenly places and the defeated enemy is under our feet. Don’t let the enemy intimidate you because Christ defeated him on the cross. Jesus’ victory is your victory. Live in victory! Have an eternal orientation on your life.

iurby Hazel Straub

There is no need for anxious fear. Cry out to God and he will answer, when you have come to the end of yourself. He desires for you to live in freedom. from all your fears. Depend on him, not yourself!

Pray! He will never fail you. No never!

God’s angel sets up a circle
of protection around us while we pray. (Psalm 34:7 MSG)

Your Trials And Tests Equip You

Sierra Nevada

by Hazel Straub

Have the changes that have occurred recently, in your life, caused concern? God is equipping you with all the tools and experience you will need in the new season in your life. It is no accident that you have gone through the fire and come out not smelling of smoke. The lessons that you learned will inspire others.

Nothing is ever wasted in your life. The times that you despaired and wanted to quit but did not,. blazed a trail for others to follow. What you experienced has caused a greater reliance on the Lord. Your tests and trials cause you to understand independence from God is futile. He brings you into a broad place where blessings and equipping will come to you quickly. There is much for you to do with the Lord and he gives you more than you could imagine. Fully equipped, as his ambassador of love and hope.

Now may the God of peace—
who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus,
the great Shepherd of the sheep,
and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—
may he equip you with all you need
for doing his will.
May he produce in you,
through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing that is pleasing to him.
All glory to him forever and ever! Amen. (Hebrews 13:20-21 NLT)

Praise God For His Provision

Seljalandsfoss Falls and Wildflowers, Iceland-849072by Hazel Straub

So often we waste time worrying about things God has already promised to provide. We fret about provision, when he has already said he will give us all that we need. Doubt, fear and unbelief cloud our vision, instead of trust and faith in God’s love for us. Seek him and his kingdom and he provides everything.

“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. (Mathew 6: 30-34 MSG)

Walk In The Love Of God

iurby Hazel Straub

The love that God calls us to express is not romantic but practical and sacrificial. It motivates us to care more for others. Humility is its trademark. With love there is no “me first.” It does not condemn others but puts up with anything. Love doesn’t insist on looking good or scoring.

The heart of love, demonstrates trust in God, no matter the circumstances.  It always looks for the best and doesn’t keep track of other’s sins. It is forward-looking without regret. It doesn’t quit but keeps going until the end.

Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. (1 Corinthians 13:7 AMP)

Keys To Answered Prayer

Worshipping Godby Hazel Straub

What are the keys to prayer that gets answered? Quit fretting and chewing and gnawing on your problems. Instead, give your requests to God, with thanksgiving and praise. The focus is not on the problem but on our Problem Solver. God is good and his mercies last forever. His love never ceases.. He loves you and hears and answers. He gave his Son to die for you and gives all you need.

Once you rehearse and vocalize the goodness of the Lord, from a thankful heart, his peace floods your heart and mind. His presence surrounds you with quiet confidence that he hears and answers you. You will see the blessings rain upon you because of your thankful heart of worship.

Don’t worry over anything whatever; tell God every detail of your needs in earnest and thankful prayer, and the peace of God which transcends human understanding, will keep constant guard over your hearts and minds as they rest in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 PHILLIP)

Do Not Quit!

by Hazel Straub

No matter how many times you stumble and iufall, you can always get back up. Keep your eyes on the Lord and attend to his sweet presence. Keep moving and he will help you, to continue your journey. Do not quit!

With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said. (2 Chronicles 32:8 NIV)

Living Above Your Circumstances

iu-1by Hazel Straub

Quit looking for rescue from your situation. Jesus lives undefeated and Holy Spirit leads you in triumph. Every negative thing that occurs in your life, sets you up for an upgrade. God wants to change how you think. Your circumstances are not the problem but your perception of your situation. Take it to the Lord and get his perspective on the issue. Do not tackle the problem from the same level that it seems. Ask instead, “Where  is Jesus in my circumstances?”  Forget the “Why me?” victim mentality.  Instead ask, “What does this mean for my relationship with you and what do you want me to do?”

Your problems’ primary purpose  is to make you change and become more like Jesus. God created you in his image. Unless you think like him, doubt, fear and unbelief become your anthem. Favor, goodness, possibility, with all things turning for your good, is the believer’s portion. He faithfully walks besides you and will never leave or forsake you. In your circumstances, look for God’s presence . Realize he is good. Allow him to captivate your heart and go higher!

Worship, Battles And Victory

iu-1by Hazel Straub

Self pity wants us to think that we are alone and are victims. Our Lord Jesus whispers that he gives us battles, to win victories. Often we respond in frightened terror, like the Israelites, when threatened by the giants.  Instead, when we know we belong to the God of Angel Armies, we can respond like David. He declared that he had killed the lion and the bear, when they threatened his sheep and Goliath would like them because he defied Yahweh. David worshipped, as he went to battle, in the name and strength of Yahweh the God of Angel Armies, not with the latest military weapons. Goliath filled with pride, thought his physical size and weapons would give him the victory. Yahweh accompanied David, and gave him the victory, with a slingshot and a smooth stone. Then it was the enemy army who ran in terror, when they saw their champion dead.

Remember, the bigger the enemy and giant, the harder they will fall, to their destruction. Battles give us victory, when we trust in Yahweh, the God of Angel Armies, who fights for us.

For even if we do walk in the flesh, on the other hand, we do not wage war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not according to the flesh, but of the power of God, and by it we subdue rebellious fortresses, and we pull down reasonings and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and we take all minds prisoner to the obedience of The Messiah. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 ABPE)
