Who Carries Your Load?

iuby Hazel Straub

It is not the hardships that you endure that define you and your journey. It is who walks besides you and carries your load! Jesus is our burden bearer. He knows what you need.

Rather than focusing on the roughness of the road, with its unexpected bumps, climbs and detours, concentrate on the one carrying and protecting you.  Rest in his loving care!

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 NLT)

The Bitter Brings Healing

Horehoundby Hazel Straub

Life has various seasons filled with joy and gladness and sadness. When it seems that we experience the bitter, God always gives us his sweet love and mercy. When our health crumbles we cry out to him and the sweetness of his comforting healing presence, envelops us. Sometimes our relationships crumble, when friends leave us, the sweetness of close friendship with Jesus counters the bitter. Losing one’s job and seeing provision come from unexpected sources, show the bitter with the sweet. Even bitter herbs, improve digestion, calm inflammation and bring healing.

Although the pressure on you might be severe, it causes the character of Jesus to develop in you. Rejoice, the bitter works for your good!

Don’t run from tests and hardships, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line—mature, complete, and wanting nothing. (James 1:2-4 MSG)

In God We Trust

iu-1by Hazel Straub

There is often a tug of war between trusting God (having a firm reliance on God’s integrity, ability and character) and feeling insecure (lacking trust in God), due to the circumstances, in which we find ourselves. God has promised that we will not lack because he is our Good Shepherd and supplier. He watches over us and is our provision.

When we worship and praise God, our eyes see his tender love and mercy. We rest, knowing that he never will leave or forsake us.  Anchored in the rich soil of his wonderful love, nourished by his living water, there is no fear of the shifting shadows of health, wealth, possessions, family, friends, enemies, education, status and jobs.

In God, we trust and rely!

May everyone who knows your mercy
Keep putting their trust in you.
For they can count on you no matter what
O Lord, you will never, no never, neglect those who come to you.
(Psalm 9:10 Passion Translation)

Embrace The New!

iu-1by Hazel Straub

The season in which we find ourselves is one of change. No longer business as usual, treading well-worn paths and living in the status quo. Instead we experience new challenges in new unfamiliar settings with new relationships. We are going over to the other side of the mountain to live, in an unfamiliar setting, where God is in control not us.

God tells us to let the past go and not to hang on to old victories, ways of thinking, grudges, and habits. He is doing something new and it requires letting go of toxic thought patterns, unforgiveness, regrets and living the familiar comfortable way. No longer coping as a survivor, but thriving in abundant life. When you let it all go, there is room for new relationships, new life in unfamiliar places and blessings you could not imagine. It is time for new beginnings, seeing new rivers flowing in the former desert and exploring new paths you would not have considered earlier.

Embrace the new and leave the past in the past!

Forget what happened in the past,
and do not dwell on events from long ago.
I am going to do something new.
It is already happening. Don’t you recognize it?
I will clear a way in the desert.
I will make rivers on dry land. (Isaiah 43:18-19 NOG)

Love Of God

Fire Heart Love HD Wallpaperby Hazel Straub

The love of God has no limits. He gave his precious son, Jesus, so we might live. This sacrificial love changes us from the inside out. Because of this love, we love one another.

My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God. Trust In God Your Provider

trust2by Hazel Straub

God says: “Trust me not your resources, job, abilities, reasoning or heritage. Nothing is too difficult for me. Did I not sustain the Israelites for 40 years in the wilderness? They had bread from heaven to eat and supernatural water. Their clothes and shoes did not wear out. I am the same yesterday, today and forever. I am your provision and there is no lack, when I am your source.”

And now I have it all—and keep getting more! The gifts you sent with Epaphroditus were more than enough, like a sweet-smelling sacrifice roasting on the altar, filling the air with fragrance, pleasing God no end. You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abounds in glory that just pours out into eternity. Yes. (Philippians 4:18-20 MSG)

Yahweh Show Mercy

iuby Hazel Straub

Yahweh, have mercy! Mercy!

Show us your mercy, O Yahweh,
by giving us your salvation.
I want to hear what El Yahweh says,
because he promises peace to his people, to his godly ones.
But they must not go back to their stupidity.
Indeed, his salvation is near those who fear him,
and his glory will remain in our land. (Psalm 85:7-9)

He Restores My Soul

Yahweh my Shepherd, rescues, recovers, relieves, refreshes and restores me, to wholeness and gives me fresh breath, through leading me to a place of rest. He renews, revives, rebuilds and rejuvenates my life. He gives me new strength, while I rest in his presence.

He restores my soul…(Psalm 23:3 a)

Keys To Prosperity And Health

iurby Hazel Straub

When your heart fills with childlike trust in God, there is no need to analyze and map the road. Fully depend on God, and not on your brilliance and intellect.

Honor God with your best. Show an attitude of gratitude and listen to his voice. Receive his correction and discipline and don’t despise it. Know he delights in you, his dear child and he causes you to prosper.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
don’t sulk under his loving correction.
It’s the child he loves that God corrects;
a father’s delight is behind all this. (Proverbs 3:5-12 MSG)
