Jesus Took Our Diseases

by Hazel Straub

Jesus came to whip2earth and seemed ordinary because he did not look like someone important. He suffered and took all of our sicknesses and diseases on himself. Mocked by Roman soldiers, they spit in his face, tore out his beard, took all his clothes, shamed him, beat him with rods,  scourged him with numerous 3 foot long strands weighted with lead balls and bones, while he was tied to a post, naked and struck repeatedly, from the shoulders to the loins.

Jesus had his body brutally beaten, taking our punishment. Every disease, pain and shame belonging to us, he carried for us, so we could live in vibrant health. It is through his bruises and wounds that we receive healing. Believe and receive.

Thank you Jesus for healing me!

For [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He has no form or comeliness [royal, kingly pomp], that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him. Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:2-6 AMP)

Enjoy Yourself!

near Godby Hazel Straub

Get to know yourself and enjoy being You! Do not worry about other people accepting you, or trying to meet someone else’s expectations. Instead please God and rejoice in your uniqueness.

Jesus paid the greatest price for you with his precious blood and life because he values You. You are valuable! Believe it!

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
    I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
    you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day. (Psalm 139:13-16 MSG)

It’s Too Hard–Not!

iuby Hazel Straub

It’s too hard! I can’t continue. I’m tired.

Daddy God replies: “My child, “I” can’t do anything. Together nothing is impossible when you put your trust and depend on me. Then it is “we” going on the journey. You were never intended to carry the load, cast your cares on me.  I carry your load and encourage you. You will finish because I am with you. Fear not.

Rejoice in my presence!

Be strong and courageous. Don’t tremble! Don’t be afraid of them! Yahweh your Elohim is the one who is going with you. He won’t abandon you or leave you. (Deuteronomy 31:6 NOG)

Tired And Collapsing?

iuby Hazel Straub

Tired and unsure if you can go another step without collapsing? Jesus made a way, so you do not have to constantly do or try to earn your way. He bears our burdens. It is his right standing with God, that enables us to come to Daddy God. Let Jesus, lift the burden off of your shoulders and rest. Rest in the fact that you don’t need to do anything. Jesus has you covered. Be in his presence. You will carry out more from a place of rest than all of your busyness.

Rest!

Come unto me, all of you who labor and are forced to bear burdens, and I shall give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 ABPE)

Irritations Sharpen Character

by Hazel Straub

Have you ever become so irritated with a certain person that you were obsessed on their flaws? The ways they acted caused you to react in frustration and their thorns hurt. Then God began to show you, the same things were operating in your life. Your intolerance stemmed from the same immaturity lurking in your own life. This person came to sharpen you, like a knife blade,
so you could be honed for the Master’s use. Rather than complaining, rejoice! This person is the tool used to make you more mature.

In the same way that iron sharpens iron, a person sharpens the character of his friend. (Proverbs 27:17 VOICE)

Listen First!

imagesby Hazel Straub

How often have you openned your mouth and said things you later regretted? We were created with one mouth and two ears, for a purpose. Spend more time listening rather than talking. When we listen and keep our mouth closed, others will admire our wisdom. As we listen, we get more understanding of other’s viewpoints and are less likely to get angry and upset. We show respect and honor, as we listen.

Listen first!

Understand this my dear brothers and sisters: You must be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. (James 1:19 NLT)

Yahweh Directs Your Steps

narrow path1by Hazel Straub

How many times have you carefully laid out your plans? Then the unexpected happens and everything changes, with your plans in the dust bin. When you think about it, you realized you forgot to ask Yahweh what he wanted, before you planned. Also you did not listen for his voice. No need to worry, Yahweh directs your steps. You will end up at the right place at the right time. Yahweh, your Good Shepherd, faithfully leads you! He is working it all in your favor, in his time.

A person may plan his own journey,
but Yahweh directs his steps. (Proverbs 16:9 NOG)

Fear Not God Loves You!

iuby Hazel Straub

Ever notice how fear cripples and causes you to lose all peace in your life? Fear, the most contagious disease in the world, tries to make you a victim, without hope. Satan rules his kingdom with fear or False Evidence Appearing Real. God, however is love and he tells us not to fear because he is with us. He goes with us through the fire, flood and flurry of trials and we come through it all not smelling of smoke or drowning.  His love filled presence casts out all fear. He makes provision for us in the wilderness and carries us, when tiredness causes us to falter.

No matter what we face, God promises that he will never leave or abandon us. His defeat of Satan brings us victory, through Christ Jesus. In the midst of the darkness of fear, the love of God shines brighter and casts out all fear. Trusting in God, nothing is impossible. He makes provision for you because he is your provider. The dry desert gets streams of water, provided by God’s loving hands. Do not look at the forces aligned against you, but rest and relish the love of God for you! He never fails you!

God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.

We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first. (1 John 4 17-19 MSG)

Holy Spirit Your Gift

holy-spirit-dove-fire-creationswapby Hazel Straub

A wedding celebration will happen soon. Before the wedding, the bridegroom gives gifts to his beloved, including an engagement ring. Today we celebrate the giving of Holy Spirit, the gift from our bridegroom Yeshua our Messiah. This is the promise for the wedding celebration to come and his transforming love for us.

Yeshua told his disciples, who were his witnesses, to wait in Jerusalem. “So I am sending My Father’s promise to you. Stay in the city until you receive it—until power from heaven comes upon you.  This is what you heard Me teach—that just as John ritually cleansed people with water through baptism, so you will be washed with the Holy Spirit very soon.” (Luke 24:49-50 VOICE)

The disciples (120 of them) followed Yeshua’s instructions and stayed and prayed in a house. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven, like a rushing wind and flames like fire appeared on each one’s head. Holy Spirit filled, the disciples received purification and transformation. They then went out into the street, where the pilgrims from many nations, who were there to celebrate Pentecost, heard them speak, supernaturally, in their native languages. The disciples spoke about how they had witnessed of the death, burial and resurrection of Yeshua. 3,000 turned from their sins and received Yeshua, had water baptism and received the gift of Holy Spirit.

Celebrate your gift of the coming wedding, with Yeshua! Receive Holy Spirit, as a witness of the transforming power and love of your bridegroom, who calls you beloved.

Happy Pentecost!
