Let It Go For Breakthrough!

by Hazel Straub

It is the season to let things go for breakthrough in your life.. Let go of pride. Let go of your victimization. Let go of the things that hindered you in the past season. Let go of your independence and instead become God dependent.

In Interior Alaska, the snow is still on the ground but it is slowly melting. There is a guessing game to see when a river lets go of the ice, breaking up, so the river navigation by boats can start. When the ice goes, there is major breakthrough! It can seem messy due to mud, overflowing of the riverbanks and to the sudden change.

What is God telling you to let go of so you can experience breakthrough?

For if you embrace the truth, it will release more freedom into your lives. (John 8:32 TPT)

Fear of Man Or Fear Of God?

by Hazel Straub

Fear of man will stunt your growth and keep you from fulfilling your destiny. Fear of man results in pleasing man and not God. Fear of God will cause you to listen and obey his voice and fulfill your destiny! Seeking and following God’s voice leads to abundant life.

Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah). (Galatians 1:10 AMP)

New Assignments

by Hazel Straub

God is giving out new assignments that call for trusting God and walking in faith. No longer relying on your circumstances but on God. Believing and doing what God requires, will propel you into a deeper relationship with him. The new assignment is not based on your ability but on God’s ability to work through you.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off. (Acts 13:2-3 ESV)

Restoration

by Hazel Straub

This is the season, when God is restoring the years that the locust has stolen from you. It is time for you, to make your claim and thank God for full restoration.

And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten—the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you. And you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never be put to shame. (Joel 2:25-26 AMPC)

Nothing Is Impossible

by Hazel Straub

Daddy God is the God of the Possible. With God you can do the impossible. He is calling to you, “Come.” Get out of the boat tossed by waves of fear and doubt, leaving behind the safety of the known. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and you will find that the wind and waves do  not faze you, as you walk on the water. If your eyes turn to the howling wind, or the huge waves and you start to sink, know Jesus is there to pick you up.

It’s time to leave the comfort of the known where fear and doubt dwells, to live in faith and trust in God. Although, you have not done this before, there is great reward in believing and not doubting, Jesus’ word, “Come.”

As soon as the people were fed, Jesus told his disciples to get into their boat and to go to the other side of the lake while he stayed behind to dismiss the people.  After the crowds dispersed, Jesus went up into the hills to pray. And as night fell he was there praying alone with God. But the disciples, who were now in the middle of the lake, ran into trouble, for their boat was tossed about by the high winds and heavy seas.

At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came to them, walking on the waves! When the disciples saw him walking on top of the water, they were terrified and screamed, “A ghost!”  Then Jesus said, “Be brave and don’t be afraid. I am here!” Peter shouted out, “Lord, if it’s really you, then have me join you on the water!” “Come and join me,” Jesus replied.

So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus. But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out. Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and lifted him up and said, “What little faith you have! Why would you let doubt win?”  And the very moment they both stepped into the boat, the raging wind ceased. Then all the disciples crouched down before him and worshiped Jesus. They said in adoration, “You are truly the Son of God!” (Matthew 14:22-33 TPT)

Follow The Good Shepherd

Just because you have always done things the same way, in this new season, you may have to shift. God, your Good Shepherd, wants you to listen and follow him, not stay where you are comfortable.

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. (Hebrews 11:8 NLT)

God Is Faithful

by Hazel Straub

When God makes a promise, with full assurance it will happen. Although it might not happen on our time schedule, God will fulfill it. He is dependable and faithful. Believe it! He will fulfill all he has promised.

God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through? (Numbers 23:19 NLT)

Faith In God

by Hazel Straub

Keep your eyes on the goal I have set before you. Trust and depend on me in faith. Do not rely on what you see in the natural but in faith in me and my Word. Obey me in faith, believing my promises. Know I am dependable and will fulfill all I promised. Walk on the Word I have given, not on your feelings or circumstances. Believe me and seek close relationship with me.

And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him. (Hebrews 11:6 TPT)

Praise And Gratitude To God

by Hazel Straub

God our Creator has given us all good things. He is the source of all good things in our lives. We are called to express our thanksgiving, praise and gratitude to him every day no matter what our circumstances. When we are full of praise to God, our perspective changes. God is helping us and at work in our lives no matter what our circumstances.

Thank you Lord for a new day and your loving presence!

The life that pleases me is a life lived in the gratitude of grace,
always choosing to walk with me in what is right.
This is the sacrifice I desire from you.
If you do this, more of my salvation will unfold for you. (Psalm 50:23 TPT)
