Humble Yourself Before God!

by Hazel Straub

The love and mercy of God is so great. He does not treat us as we deserve. He asks us to humble ourselves and get low. He gives grace to the humble.

If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands. (1 Peter 5:6 TPT)

Forgiveness

by Hazel Straub

Forgiveness is an intentional and voluntary process where the victim lets go of  vengeance, grudges and bitterness along with other negative emotions. The offense is released so the victim no longer carries it or meditates on the offense.

God is merciful and when one turns from their sin back to God, shows a change of heart and comes through the blood of Jesus, they are forgiven. God, however, requires that we forgive others, so that we can receive forgiveness. If we are unwilling, to let offenses go and forgive, we will not receive it. Failing to forgive also affects one’s whole family.

Later Peter approached Jesus and said, “How many times do I have to forgive my fellow believer who keeps offending me? Seven times?”

Jesus answered, “Not seven times, Peter, but seventy times seven times!  The lessons of forgiveness in heaven’s kingdom realm can be illustrated like this:

“There once was a king who had servants who had borrowed money from the royal treasury. He decided to settle accounts with each of them. As he began the process, it came to his attention that one of his servants owed him one billion dollars. So he summoned the servant before him and said to him, ‘Pay me what you owe me.’ When his servant was unable to repay his debt, the king ordered that he be sold as a slave along with his wife and children and every possession they owned as payment toward his debt. The servant threw himself facedown at his master’s feet and begged for mercy. ‘Please be patient with me. Just give me more time and I will repay you all that I owe.’ Upon hearing his pleas, the king had compassion on his servant, and released him, and forgave his entire debt.

“No sooner had the servant left when he met one of his fellow servants, who owed him twenty thousand dollars He seized him by the throat and began to choke him, saying, ‘You’d better pay me right now everything you owe me!’ His fellow servant threw himself facedown at his feet and begged, ‘Please be patient with me. If you’ll just give me time, I will repay you all that is owed.’ But the one who had his debt forgiven stubbornly refused to forgive what was owed him. He had his fellow servant thrown into prison and demanded he remain there until he repaid the debt in full.

“When his associates saw what was going on, they were outraged and went to the king and told him the whole story. The king said to him, ‘You scoundrel! Is this the way you respond to my mercy? Because you begged me, I forgave you the massive debt that you owed me. Why didn’t you show the same mercy to your fellow servant that I showed to you?’ In a fury of anger, the king turned him over to the prison guards to be tortured until all his debt was repaid. In this same way, my heavenly Father will deal with any of you if you do not release forgiveness from your heart toward your fellow believer.” (Matthew 18:21-35 TPT)

Radiate With God’s Love And Joy

by Hazel Straub

Our walk with the Lord starts inside our hearts. His love fills us, so we can love each other, with respect and honor. When we listen in constant communion with the God, it changes us from the inside out.

Let the inner movement of your heart always be to love one another, and never play the role of an actor wearing a mask. Despise evil and embrace everything that is good and virtuous. Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another. Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times.(Romans 12:9-12 TPT)

Allow The Word Of God To Change You

by Hazel Straub

God has given us his Word, to read and put it into practice in our lives. It can save our lives and give us abundant life. If we pay attention and obey, blessings from God will flow to us. He doesn’t want us to merely acquire knowledge but to get low to the ground, teachable, allowing it to correct our direction and change, leading us into true freedom. The Word applied makes your life poetry that blesses others.

So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. (James 1:21-25 NLT)

The Life-Giver

by Hazel Straub

The Spirit of God gives us life. Human effort cannot give eternal life. The words of Jesus breathes Spirit and life to our innermost being, when we receive them.

Jesus said: “It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.” (John 6:63 AMPC)

Prayer In A Fresh New Day

by Hazel Straub

Our Daddy God, holy is your name.

Thank you for this fresh new day, as your mercy is new every morning and great is your faithfulness. Rejoicing in your presence!

Today, I come closer to you than I have ever been. Give me clearer hearing of your voice. It’s my desire to see my circumstances with your eyes and viewpoint. May I shine with your life, light and love, as I rest in you, Lord. You are my portion and provision. Glorify your name in my life today, as rivers of living water flow from you, through me, to others.

Amen

Jesus Blood Purifies Us

by Hazel Straub

We can never atone for our sins. God, however, made provision for this and sent his only Son to pay the price for our sins. Jesus the Christ took our punishment for us. When we turn to God and confess our sins, Jesus’ blood washes away our rebellion and cleans us. The powerful blood of Jesus purges all the unrighteousness from us. Amazing!

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Trials Lead To God Dependence

by Hazel Straub

Have you gone through difficult times in your life? The only solution, is to press into God and get his perspective on our challenges. God wants us to lean into him, gain his wisdom, grace and mercy for the day. Oftentimes, we sail through life, without depending on God and developing a close relationship with him until the storm hits. Then the trials cause us cry out to God and seek him. God wants us to depend on him and to rely on his strength, drawing near to him, in both good and hard circumstances.

My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested[a] it stirs up power within you to endure all things. And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. (James 1:2-4 TPT)

You Are Sovereign

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

You have the power to influence the earth, little god. You are Sovereign because God made you Sovereign.

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. (Psalm 82:6 KJV)

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken. (John 10-33-35 KJV)
