Quitting? Wait On The LORD!

by Hazel Straub

Ever felt like quitting? Weary and without strength? Wait, trust and depend on the LORD and he will renew your strength and help you continue. The race does not go to those who start quickly but to the one who finishes. Even if you fall down, get up in the power of God and keep going. Never give up! Your faith and trust in God brings great rewards.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9 NLT)

But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 NLT)

Asking Forgiveness

by Hazel Straub

We all have sin in our lives. God’s light uncovers sin that we need to turn away from and run to him, asking for forgiveness. He is willing to forgive but we need honesty to confess our sins to him and humbly ask for help to overcome. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. It is important to have a pliable, sensitive heart, that is quick to repent. Then we can walk in right standing with God with a clean heart.

If we boast that we have no sin, we’re only fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth.  But if we freely admit our sins when his light uncovers them, he will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and he will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we claim that we’re not guilty of sin when God uncovers it with his light, we make him a liar and his word is not in us. (1 John 8-10 TPT)

Lord God We Worship And Honor You!

by Hazel Straub

Lord God, thank you for the wonderful blessings stored for all who honor and worship you. Dwelling in the secret place with you, brings refreshment, replenishment and rejuvenation. Your presence protects us. Glory to God! We worship you Lord, in spirit and in truth. We honor you for you have done mighty things for us. We lift up your name!

Lord, how wonderful you are!
You have stored up so many good things for us,
like a treasure chest heaped up and spilling over with blessings—
all for those who honor and worship you!
Everybody knows what you can do
for those who turn and hide themselves in you.
So hide all your beloved ones
in the sheltered, secret place before your face.
Overshadow them by your glory-presence.
Keep them from these accusations, the brutal insults of evil men.
Tuck them safely away in the tabernacle where you dwell.
The name of the Lord is blessed and lifted high!
For his marvelous miracle of mercy protected me
when I was overwhelmed by my enemies. (Psalm 31:19-21 TPT)

The Battle Is The Lord Of Heaven’s Armies

by Hazel Straub

How many times have you gotten discouraged due to the battle swirling around you? Looking at things in the natural realm, it is easy to get intimidated. However, behind the physical manifestation, there is a spiritual battle. The enemy of our souls wants us to become depressed, discouraged and to give up. God wants you to know that it is his battle and he gives the victory.

David was a teenager who came to the battle to give his older brothers gifts and to bring a report back to his father. He found the Israelite army running in fear from a giant named Goliath, who taunted them. The Israelites had run in fear, forty days. David immediately, saw it as a spiritual battle, where the giant and the Philistines were defying the armies of the living God. David had killed lions and bears, who were attacking his father’s flocks of sheep and goats and he knew God would also fight for him, against the giant.

David defeated the giant, with the help of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies and with a stone and a shepherd’s slingshot. He knew it was the Lord’s battle and he walked in faith and confidence, in the Lord. Although the giant cursed and boasted, David killed him with a stone and the whole enemy army fled in defeat.

No matter how strong the enemy coming against you might seem, God defeats the enemy. Take heart and know the battle is not yours but the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!

David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us! (1 Samuel 17:45-47 NLT)

Prayer To God Who Loves Us

by Hazel Straub

This prayer of King David speaks of God’s great love, grace-fountain, faithfulness and his answering our cries for help. God created all of us and recuses and delivers us from darkness and brings us into his light. Praise his glorious name!

Lord, you are so good to me, so kind in every way
and ready to forgive,
for your grace-fountain keeps overflowing,
drenching all your lovers who pray to you.
God, won’t you pay attention to this urgent cry?
Lord, bend down to listen to my prayer.
Whenever trouble strikes, I will keep crying out to you,
for I know your help is on the way.
God, there’s no one like you;
there’s no other god as famous as you.
You outshine all others and your miracles make it easy to know you.
Lord Almighty, you are the one who created all the nations;
Look at them—they’re all on their way!
Yes, the day will come when they all will worship you
and put your glory on display.
You are the one and only God.
What miracles! What wonders! What greatness belongs to you!
Teach me more about you, how you work and how you move,
so that I can walk onward in your truth
until everything within me brings honor to your name.
With all my heart and passion I will thank you, my God!
I will give glory to your name, always and forever!
You love me so much and you placed your greatness upon me.
You rescued me from the deepest place of darkness,
and you have delivered me from a certain death. (Psalm 86:5-13 TPT)

Love In Action

by Hazel Straub

In the English language the word, “love,” has many applications. One can love a car, a certain food, the weather, be infatuated with someone, or show love through our actions. Love is more than a word spoken, it includes compassion and care for others. Love in words and action, not withholding from others, what is in your power to give. One kind, compassionate and loving deed, brings God’s presence, when it shows the same love you received from God through his Son Jesus. As we show love to others, without ulterior motives, it breaks barriers and spreads love to many.

This is how we have discovered love’s reality: Jesus sacrificed his life for us. Because of this great love, we should be willing to lay down our lives for one another. If anyone sees a fellow believer in need and has the means to help him, yet shows no pity and closes his heart against him, how is it even possible that God’s love lives in him?  Beloved children, our love can’t be an abstract theory we only talk about, but a way of life demonstrated through our loving deeds. We know that the truth lives within us because we demonstrate love in action, which will reassure our hearts in his presence. (1 John 3:16-19 TPT)

Life-Giving Words

by Hazel Straub

Our words are powerful and either give life or death. With our mouth we can praise God or complain about our circumstances. Our heart (soul–the way we think and what we think on, what we will and the resulting emotions) determines our health. Curses to one’s self or to others brings poor health. But speaking words of faith, life and building up others and yourself brings health and healing.

Pursue God with your whole heart and receive life that overflows!

Nothing is more appealing
than speaking beautiful, life-giving words.
For they release sweetness to our souls.
and inner healing to our spirits.  (Proverbs 16:24 TPT)

Season Of Great Reciprocity

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

I heard the Lord saying, “reciprocity,’ this morning over his people. So I inquired and this is what he said.

“You are entering a season of great reciprocity. There has been much warfare, trial, and testing. You have given up much, but I see in the Spirit, what’s coming back to you, is so much greater than what you’ve given. You have seemingly, suffered great loss, but I hear the Father saying: “What I am releasing to you in this hour, (My Glory—Goodness) will far outweigh the cost. For I am redeeming the times and the days that have been evil and difficult for you. I am causing there to be a new gold stream, an inundated river, a new flow, of unprecedented blessings.”

“For I have allowed these things to come, to push you beyond where you have been. Beyond normalcy, apathy, comfortability, and life as usual. I’m shifting you to go beyond the limits, for there are no limitations in my Glory. I’m calling you to go beyond your horizons, for my range and perceptions are higher than yours. Let’s go beyond into unknown realms of my Glory, unfamiliar authority, untapped wells of revelation, and extremely powerful dominion. For you will exercise dominion over time, livestock, resources, elements, wealth, and the land. What many have tried to do, on their own, and failed, My Glory will do through you, and you will succeed and exceed the past.”

“For I have even purposely, blocked some doors, so that you would not go the familiar route, but the route I carved out solely for you, to be ultimately blessed. Double Doors of Blessing! So be not discouraged, be not dismayed, what the enemy has been trying to destroy, steal, and keep from you, has already been RELEASED TO YOU.”

“Reciprocity of anointing, reciprocity of grace, reciprocity of harvest, reciprocity of time, and reciprocity of faith! You are about to be rewarded for your struggle!!! For when man reciprocates in the natural, it is only matched by something equal. However, when I, the Lord, reciprocate, I GO BEYOND MATCHING WITH SOMETHING EQUAL, I MULTIPLY, WITH SOMETHING GREATER!””

Surrendered Life Of Grape Branches

by Hazel Straub

Jesus uses a grape-vine to illustrate our lives in him. We are the branches, attached to the vine, Jesus, who infuses us with his life.  All fruit comes from him to us, as we surrender and yield our lives to him. Our lives are not our own and all the glory goes to him. Surrender and you will see him producing fruits of love, mercy, grace, patience, peace, compassion, the character of him, and everything that Jesus did through your yielded life.

So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine. “I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless. (John 15:4-5 TPT)
