Set A Guard O Lord Over My Mouth!

by Hazel Straub

Those that are wise listen, not overflowing with talk. Keeping quiet and not saying all that you know is wise. Surrender and ask for God’s help!

Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips. (Psalm 141:3 NIV)

If you keep talking, it won’t be long
before you’re saying something really wrong.
Prove you’re wise from the very start—
just bite your tongue and be strong! (Proverbs 10:19 TPT)

He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from troubles.( (Proverbs 21:23 AMPC)
