Father God Cares And Provides For You!

by Hazel Straub

Big problems coming at you? Know that God has big provision for you because he is faithful. He is our loving Father and provides for all of our needs. Rather than worrying, give the problem to him and praise and thank him that he has heard and he cares for you.

God gave his only Son, Christ Jesus, to pay for our sins. He provides rain and sunshine for the growing of crops. He is attentive to our cries and prayers to him and tenderly cares for us. Nothing is too hard for him. Trust and have faith in him!

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NLT)

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. (Matthew 6:31-34 NLT)

Speak Life To The Dry Bones

by Hazel Straub

God created us in his image. He spoke the world into existence. With our tongue we speak life or death and create our world . God brought Ezekiel to a valley filled with dry bones. God told him to prophesy to the bones and they would come to life. Ezekiel spoke as the Lord told him to and the bones became a great army. In the same way, we can speak to the parts of us that are dead and dry and they will come to life once again. Speak life to the dead promises in your life and see them come to life. Jesus came to give us abundant life. Agree and speak abundant overflowing life to those dead places and watch them come to vibrant life!

So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27 NLT)

Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” (Ezekiel 37:4-6 NLT)

Gratitude And Thankfulness Honors God

by Hazel Straub

Gratitude and thankfulness to God, for all he has done for us, keeps our focus on him. Thankfulness is what we give to get closer to God. This attitude honors God and helps us to walk his way. Thankfulness is the key to revelation of God’s salvation. Rejoice and praise him! Then we experience true life and joy!

But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.
If you keep to my path,
I will reveal to you the salvation of God. (Psalm 50:23 NLT)

Strongholds In The Mind Torn Down

by Hazel Straub

Although many thoughts go through our minds, they are not all good. Some of them come from the flesh, other thoughts from God and some are evil. We do not need to let all thoughts make a nest in our minds and dominate our thoughts. Many times we believe lies and make excuses and find false security and take refuge in them. Out of this faulty way of thinking, we repeat poor behaviors. We justify and want to argue our points.

Instead  use the powerful weapons of God, to tear down the strongholds or fortresses of negativity, such as worry, pride, and hatred that exalt themselves against God’s truth. We are to take prisoner every thought and make it obey Christ. Then we will live victoriously.

For though we live as human beings, we do not wage war according to human standards, for the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, but are made powerful by God for tearing down strongholds. We tear down arguments and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obey Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NET)

Confession To God Restores

by Hazel Straub

When we confess our sins to God, he is faithful and forgives us because Christ paid for them. Confession brings restoration to our relationship with God, without blockages. We are his beloved children and no longer defiled by sin because of the blood of Christ. This brings us great joy.

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 1:9 NLT)

Lord God’s Hands Of Love

by Hazel Straub

The Lord God knows everything about each one of us. Nothing is hidden from him. He even knows our thoughts. No matter whether we are at home or traveling, he knows what we are doing. He goes before us and protects us from our harmful past. He loves us and blesses us. His care and concern for us is truly amazing! Praise the Lord!

Lord, you know everything there is to know about me.
You perceive every movement of my heart and soul,
and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind.
You are so intimately aware of me, Lord.
You read my heart like an open book
and you know all the words I’m about to speak
before I even start a sentence!
You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.
You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way,
and in kindness you follow behind me
to spare me from the harm of my past.
With your hand of love upon my life,
you impart a blessing to me.
This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible!
Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength. (Psalm 139:1-6 TPT)

Overcoming With God’s Help

by Hazel Straub

From your difficulty and pain
God is bringing you great gain
Trust in his love, mercy, grace
Praise, worship, adore, embrace

He never fails to turn distress around
God your companion on holy ground
He never leaves but bears the shame
The overcoming blood, faith to reign

If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God! (James 1:12 TPT)

Praising God Or Worrying?

by Hazel Straub

What or whom do you fear? When everything is going well, we do not stress. It is when the challenges and tests of life occur, when we choose to live in faith or fear. Intellectually, we know that God is faithful and trustworthy but the test comes when work is hectic, the family demanding, and our mood filled with self-pity of “why me?” Do we concentrate on the negative and anxious thoughts or rehearse the goodness of God and how he has always been our help and strength?

It is a choice to run to God and praise and worship him with thankfulness, despite the challenges. Or we can complain and stay in the mess. Fear and anxiety rob us of peace and sleep.  Praising God in the middle of the battle, brings God’s presence, his wisdom, and his voice. Choose how you react to life’s challenges!

Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me. (Psalm 23:4 NLT)
