God Is Greater Than Your Failures

by Hazel Straub

God is greater than all our failures and does more marvelous things in our lives than we can imagine. Lift up your eyes, to Jesus, believe that nothing is impossible with him. Begin to imagine and see the God-given desires for a hope and a future, fulfilled in your life. Your past does not decide what happens today, as you fix your eyes on Jesus. He paid for your sins, let them go. Get up and do not give up! With God on your side, who can stand against you?

As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! (Hebrews 12:1-2 TPT)

Amen! It’s so easy to allow our minds to go back into our past failures which then causes us to fear the future, but God always reminds us that we are forgiven and every day is a fresh start. I’m currently going through a healing process with God learning how to forgive myself and trust in Him with new beginnings. Thank you for your wisdom!

You, dear children, have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4)
    Blessings,
