Sure Firm Trust In God

by Hazel Straub

When we trust in Jesus (salvation), we are firmly anchored, like a tent-peg going deep into the solid ground of the truth of his redeeming love, saving. delivering and healing us. This type of trust means “amen,” it is sure, solid and firm. With this trust, our lives are like a well secured tent. The winds of adversity will not blow it over.

We do not want it said of us, “because they believed not in God, and trusted (firm) not in his salvation (Jesus).”  (Psalm 78:22) No matter what the circumstances that swirl around us, we can always put our trust in God and see him grow us through our challenges and become strong in him.

I love this analogy, Sister Hazel. Because, in truth, we often feel like nothing more than a flimsy canvas tent standing against the onslaught of a terrible storm. But being anchored IN HIM makes all the difference.

    Your picture is perfect too.

Thank you Sister Sandra, for your encouragement. Trust rooted and grounded in Jesus never fails no matter how strong the storm! Yahweh keeps your tent pegs of trust embedded deep in Jesus where nothing can move you!

I might tremble at times, but the Rock on which I stand never wavers and always supports me and gives me victory.
