Christians calling President Obama the antichrist are anti-Christ because of their love deficiency and lack of godly intercession, for those in authority. “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
I am astonished, appalled, and burdened with intercession at the spiritual ignorance, hard-heartedness, and lack of love in (us), the leaders in the body of Christ. These are just a few of the ministry quotes I’ve read recently, “Praying against Satan and referring to him as Obama,” prophesying or should I say prophe-lying “death, doom, and destruction to believers,” hinging your destiny or principles on whether Obama is president or not,” holding prayer visuals stating, “the destiny of America is in the hands of who is elected next,” “I felt something evil (perhaps their own deceptive heart), when they announced Obama was president,” just to name a few.
The office of the president is not a theocracy, even though some ignorantly treat it as such. In the event that Yahweh gives us discernment of some evil, disaster, or judgment, it is for us to repent and intercede for mercy to prevent it. However, due to the lack of love, we disqualify the individual(s), as if we have nothing in our lives that we need deliverance from. We leaders, who are destructively criticizing him, how many of you have brought this many nationalities, groups, races, and cultures together for One purpose, as did the president?
If we would place half as much energy in true apostolic intercession for him, reaching the lost, and lifting each other up, we would have no time for this buffoonery and carnal adolescent behavior. The truth is, this reveals where our hearts are, what our focus is on, and how deficient we are in demonstrating to the world, our love for Yahweh and each other. The condition of the world is because of the condition of the church, and the condition of the church is because of the condition of our hearts. We don’t need to come together for the sake of the presidency, we need to come together for the sake of (love) Christ.
We must come back to the basics. How can I say, “I Love The Lord,” whom I have never seen and regard hatred in my heart because of the pigmentation of your skin, or because you exhorted me with the truth in love, or because you voted for the opposite candidate, or simply have another opinion? It’s an oxymoron to me, when we (the church) come together to do wicked, foreign, or worldly things, but we can’t come together to worship the King of kings purely.
You can’t hate your neighbor and love God, at the same time. You can’t treat people with dishonor and worship God at the same time. You can’t call yourself a Christian leader and offer Christ to only select people or groups.
Bottom line: WORSHIP is how WE treat each OTHER, when WE DON’T AGREE. Fight to LOVE, don’t fight to be RIGHT. If all you want out of a relationship, ministry, marriage, or your occupation is to BE RIGHT, then your relationships will be short or self-righteously warped.
I’m so disgusted with the church on church crime. Let’s stop the killing and start the healing with loving and forgiving like Christ loves and forgives us. History has been made, but it’s according to who or what your God is that determines your future…signed dying to myself, to live without spiritual prejudice, for His Glory!
