Worship And Thrive

When the enemy attacks, learn how to prosper. We are called to live in the Spirit and to thrive not survive.

Paul and Silas helped deliver a slave girl from the spirit of divination. Her owners were upset and long story short, Paul and Silas ended up beaten, bloody and in the inner part of the prison, in stocks and bonds. Their response to this injustice was to praise and worship God with joy, continuing until midnight.

God responded to their worship, by coming to the prison, with his earthquake shoes on and causing all the bonds to fall off, the stocks and prison doors to open. Paul and Silas worshipped into the darkest part of the night and brought the presence of God, who set not only Paul and Silas free but also all the other prisoners in the prison. Nothing could bind them, when they lived by the Spirit, thrived as unashamed God carriers. (Acts 16)

“So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:

They kill us in cold blood because they hate you.
We’re sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one.

None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.” (Romans 8:31-38 MSG)

Think, Speak And Meditate On Jesus For Change

What you think on and what you look at determines who you become. If we think about our mistakes and regrets depression accompanies us. On the other hand, if we speak and think about scripture, eating, chewing and thinking about a certain promise, it becomes part of our inner self.

Looking and thinking about Jesus as our Redeemer, Healer, Deliverer and Help, keeps us relying on him, not our circumstances. Healing of trauma, emotions and body will occur as doubt leaves and trust in the Lord remains. We know Jesus, who is the truth and the truth sets us free.

Let the words of my mouth be for your pleasure, and the meditation of my heart before you, Lord Jehovah, my helper and my Savior.  (Psalm 19:14 ABPE)

New Year – Fresh Start

We are entering a new year and a time of a fresh start. Drop the old heavy luggage of the past, so you will have the energy needed for your new season. It is time to leave the regrets of the past with all the “should have,” “if only,” could have,” “why did or didn’t I.” You cannot have vision for your bright future, when you live with regrets or think that your best days lie behind you.

It is time to freshen up in the shower, scrub off the dirt of the past, and put on new clothes of love, mercy, faithfulness, patience, joy, hope and humility. Put on the mind of Christ and no longer live by your fickle emotions. Wear the glasses of anticipation and new vision for the plans that God has to prosper you, to give you a hope and a future. Walking through the door of 2015 requires that you leave the past because you and excess luggage will not fit through the door. Keep Jesus as your focus, staying close to him and you will do great exploits.

Let the song of the fresh start song burst forth from your lips! Embrace the new year with a new mindset, no longer doing the same thing and expecting different results. The greatest time of your life lies before you!

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8 NLT)

2015 – A Year To Worship God And Rest

2015 is a year of looking to Yahweh with praise and worship. It is important to keep your eyes lifted up to God, not on the circumstances or what it looks like with natural eyes. Lift up your eyes and get God’s vision and take another look. It is time to perceive from his perspective, with fresh vision. Praise and worship releases Holy Spirit to blow his wind on forgotten dreams and to uncover the wealth God alloted for you. In this new season you will forget the toil of the past, because the goodness of the Lord will overtake you. Seeds planted in the last season will bloom with great abundance and glory.

This is a year of blessings and fulfillment that comes from a place of resting and unity with Jesus. Rest from striving and see God complete that which you have longed for, as you look up worshipping and praising him. Restoration of stolen resources, inheritances and dreams, with abundance of provision is yours. The enemy is defeated with praise and worship, as you keep your eyes focused on the Lord and rest in his love for you.

2 Chronicles 20 describes this year.  Judah (praise) had his enemies threaten to annihilate the nation, while they surrounded him, with well equipped armies. Judah’s leader sought Yahweh for his strategy. He told them not to fear and it was his battle not theirs. In response, the nation of Judah showed no fear, as they raised praise and worship to Yahweh. Their focus was the Lord and they rested. God caused the enemy turn on themselves and kill each other.Judah received the wealth of the enemy and it took three days to gather all the plunder. The keys to victory included placing the focus on the Lord not the enemy, resting in him and open mouths that praised and worshipped him.

I am chiseling, sanding and fashioning you, to uniquely show my light to others, who do not know me. Embrace the process because others will no longer see you but the Anointed One shining out of you.

Trust Yahweh

God’s Word – My Meditation

Fear Yahweh

Fear stops us from walking God’s way and doing what God calls us to do. It is the enemy’s most powerful weapon, as it causes us to reason, to doubt and look at the obstacles not following Yahweh.

The beginning of wisdom is to fear Yahweh and to constantly think of him, his love and to listen to him. When we let go of our flesh, then we cause the enemy to fear because nothing will stop us. We need to remember that greater is he who is with us than the enemy.

Whether we live in the valley or on the mountain top, Yahweh is with us. He brings trials and tests to give us endurance so we can live on a higher level. He sends his angels to fight for us. When we really know this truth, we are bold as lions and thankful for tribulations that mature us.

Yahweh, today, we live in freedom, knowing you give us life, love and faith. You have broken the chains of fear. We will not walk in fear because you have given us love, power and a sound mind. Give us vision to see the paper tigers in our lives and free your people from the trauma of fear. Fill us with the awareness of your mighty love and a desire to listen to you.  Amen
