Think About God’s Goodness

faithworshipgodjesusby Hazel Straub

Our thoughts are like birds flying overhead. We can’t stop the thoughts from coming but we can stop them from nesting in our head and meditating on the negative. Yeshua is near you and keeps you safe. When you worry or are anxious, you are making a down payment on something that may never happen but you have no peace.

Instead pray your concerns and trust God to keep you safe. Praise him and show thankfulness for his goodness. Remember his faithfulness, love and mercy. His shalom, wholeness and completeness, will surround you. Focus your thoughts on the goodness of Yeshua and your day will go better.

The Lord is near! Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your requests known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then God’s shalom, passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua. In conclusion, brothers, focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, lovable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praiseworthy. Keep doing what you have learned and received from me, what you have heard and seen me doing; then the God who gives shalom will be with you. (Philippine 5b-9 CJB)

More Of You God!

imagesby Hazel Straub

Thank God for problems, health issues, opposition, challenges and your enemies. When things go well, we take life for granted and become complacent. Difficulties make life uncomfortable and exposes the lie and illusion that we are self-sufficient. Pain motivates us to cry out to God with desperation. No one can satisfy us, except God. Believe his promises and know he will fulfill all!

My cry today: Lord, give me more of you. Only you can satisfy my hunger and without you, I perish. Help me! More of you! All the glory is yours!

Love Your Enemies

love-others-300x228by Hazel Straub

When misunderstandings and negativity sour relationships, how do you react? With offense or forgiveness? Do you react with the same spirit or change the atmosphere with love?

Challenging people bring opportunity for greater maturity and growth. When we show love mixed with forgiveness, we are the ambassadors of Christ. Light casts out darkness. Love changes an ugly situation, into something beautiful. Love triumphs over hatred and lies.

“You’re familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ I’m challenging that. I’m telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that.

“In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.” (Matthew 5:43-48 MSG)

Resting In The Lord Jesus

iuby Hazel Straub

Have there been times when you desired emotional support, when you were going through difficulties? Did you wonder where your support was? At times, your life routines will crumble, so your only reliable alternative is complete reliance on Jesus, for his support and help. No longer trusting in the natural or your own ability to cope but solely resting on the Lord.

Flesh fails but Jesus is our refuge, strength and support. He never fails or abandons but stays close to you. Dependable and your refuge from the storm.

God is our shelter and our strength.
When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help.
So why run and hide?
No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails.
When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless.
When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless.
Even in heavy winds and huge waves,
or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. (Psalms 46:1-3 VOICE)

Thankful For Trials And Tests?

iurby Hazel Straub

How many times have you cried out to God for deliverance from challenging circumstances that brought discomfort? We like comfort not hardship and trials. Yet it is those most difficult things that brings maturity, wisdom and a deeper faith walk with Jesus.  Tests humble us and make us more God dependent. They bring accelerated growth and a new awareness of how God works for our good in our lives.

Thank God for challenging circumstances and people! Thorns and thistles make you mature.

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. (James 1:2-4 MSG)

A Well Watered Garden

iu-1by Hazel Straub

Yahweh, our covenant keeping God, is constantly leading us. It does not matter if we find ourselves in the heat of the desert and thirsty, he satisfies all our needs. Our bones remain supple and healthy. Since he shepherds us, we are a well watered garden, lacking nothing.

Yahweh will continually guide you
and satisfy you even in sun-baked places.
He will strengthen your bones.
You will become like a watered garden
and like a spring whose water does not stop flowing. (Isaiah 58:11 NOG)

God’s Love For Us

iuby Hazel Straub

The love of God is the glue that holds us together, in spite of all the challenging circumstances that we face. Nothing can separate us from his love.

But no matter what comes, we will always taste victory through Him who loved us. For I have every confidence that nothing—not death, life, heavenly messengers, dark spirits, the present, the future, spiritual powers, height, depth, nor any created thing—can come between us and the love of God revealed in the Anointed, Jesus our Lord. Trust In Yahweh

iuby Hazel Straub

As you put your trust in Yahweh and the path on which he leads you, in your journey, you will see his active participation in your life. God is not far from you but is actively involved in your life.

Entrust your ways to Yahweh.
Trust him, and he will act on your behalf. (Psalm 37:5 NOG)

Pray And Receive Answers

iuby Hazel Straub

God challenges us to search for him and to call out to him. He wants us to have a close relationship, where he will show secrets to you. What puzzles you? Ask God and he will give you the answers.

When we seek him and cry out to him, he hears and answers us. Seek him with all your heart today.

Call to me and I will answer and reveal to you wondrous secrets that you haven’t known.(Jeremiah 33:3 CEB)
