Holy Spirit Fruit

by Hazel Straub

Live in Holy Spirit and let him produce good fruit in you, through the love of God. Walking in love produces excellent fruit.

But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:

joy that overflows,
peace that subdues,
patience that endures,
kindness in action,
a life full of virtue,
faith that prevails,
gentleness of heart, and
strength of spirit.
Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless. (Galatians 5:22-23 TPT)

God’s Mercy Fresh Each Day

by Hazel Straub

The love of God keeps us from destruction. We can depend on God’s faithfulness. His mercy and compassion inexhaustible. His mercy gives a fresh start to our day.

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT)

Listen To God And Change Your Life!

by Hazel Straub

My laptop’s battery had no charge because I had neglected to plug-in its charger. Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, when we meditate on fear and negativity, the charger of our soul is not connected to God. Repenting, turning back to Father God through Jesus, changing the thoughts entertained in our mind, will get Holy Spirit charging our lives with his light, love and light. Although the laptop might not have any battery charge, immediately when  connected to electricity, the laptop comes to life and is useful.

In the same way, ask Holy Spirit to give you understanding as you read Bible scriptures out loud,  meditate, speak and decree Bible verses over your life. Give your requests to God and then spend time in his presence listening to his reply because he loves you and speaks. Write it down and see your life transformed, as you listen and obey. Relating to God, by active listening, will change how you think and act. Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves.(James 1:22 BSB)

The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We tear down arguments, and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, as soon as your obedience is complete.…(2 Corinthians 10:4-6 BSB)

Flourishing Like A Green Olive Tree

by Hazel Straub

When we seek God and dwell in him, his living water nourishes us. In his presence, our perspective changes to an eternal viewpoint. We become like a tenacious olive tree that enjoys long life, produces olives, oil for lamplight, eating and anointing oil. The olive tree is an evergreen. The roots of the olive tree can thrive in hot arid conditions, needing minimal water, and some still produce after 2,000 years. The olive branch, is the symbol for peace. (Noah sent out a dove from the ark after the flood and the dove returned with an olive branch in its beak. Like the olive tree we will flourish as we seek God and bask in his presence.

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in and confidently rely on the loving-kindness and the mercy of God forever and ever. (Psalm 52:8 AMPC)

The LORD Is My Light

by Hazel Straub

In Alaska, at this time of year, we enjoy the midnight sun. It does not get dark at night and is light, 24 hours a day. People, plants, and all living things do well in the light.

In the same way, the Lord God, Yahweh, lights our way, casting out the darkness. Light shows us the pathway on which we can safely travel. It energizes us and warms us. Yahweh is our shelter and refuge, protecting us, and his love for us casts out fear.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble? (Psalm 27:1 NLT)

Trust, Praise God For Victory!

by Hazel Straub

When we meet big obstacles and problems, we cannot solve, we choose to either give up or let God fight our battles. Humbling ourselves, surrendering our independence, yielding our pride in doing things our way, we cry to God for his help. Trusting (having confidence) and dependence on God, knowing he loves, cares and fights for us. Our focus turns to praise and worship of God, not the circumstances. He works wonders on our behalf and saves us out of our troubles. Hallelujah!

Though I am surrounded by troubles,
you will protect me from the anger of my enemies.
You reach out your hand,
and the power of your right hand saves me. (Psalm 138:7 NLT)
I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and he saved me from my enemies. (Psalm 18:3 NLT)

Rest In Jesus!

by Hazel Straub

Jesus calls us to stop worrying, dwelling on anxious thoughts, stress, and burdens, and coming into his presence. He wants us to get to know him and to rest (ease, relieve, and refresh) our souls (our thought life, will and emotions). So often, we give our concerns to him, only to snatch them back, becoming exhausted and unable to rest. Jesus walks with us and carries our burdens, when we let them go. The day goes much easer as you let him refresh you. Rest in Jesus!

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. (Matthew 11:28-30 AMPC)

God Is Greater Than Your Failures

by Hazel Straub

God is greater than all our failures and does more marvelous things in our lives than we can imagine. Lift up your eyes, to Jesus, believe that nothing is impossible with him. Begin to imagine and see the God-given desires for a hope and a future, fulfilled in your life. Your past does not decide what happens today, as you fix your eyes on Jesus. He paid for your sins, let them go. Get up and do not give up! With God on your side, who can stand against you?

As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! Unity In Love

by Hazel Straub

When we come together and unite as one, it exhibits the glory of God. Unity in love, of a group of people, causes them to stand strong, encourage one another, makes the enemy retreat in defeat and nothing is impossible to do.

A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse. Similarly, a family splintered by feuding will fall apart. And if Satan is divided and fights against himself, how can he stand? He would never survive. (Mark 3:24-26 NLT)
