If we would spend more time loving (like Christ loves us), honoring (publicly and private), helping (regardless of personal gain or sacrifice), encouraging (in word and deed), and interceding (praying God’s heart and not ours) for one another, we would have less time to do the opposite. The world would see the true manifestation of the sons of God, seriously take notice, recognize us as Christ disciples, and be drawn to Christ.
We cannot afford to continue to fight one another, or kill another person because of their weakness, our personal dislike, or preference, or wallow and pride ourselves in an offense. The first two letters of the devil’s name “de”, means to reverse in action. The enemy thrives on us reversing our warfare from him, to warring against each other.
We cannot die anymore from the spiritual welfare of the past moves, opinions, and systems of men. We must love to live, and live to love one another, as Christ loved the “church (his church)”, and gave himself for it…Pure worship.

You are so right! Our church will close this month, with Sunday, June 28, as the last service. The United Methodist Church Conference will change the locks on June 30. It had been in service to the community for nearly 190 years, and in one doctrinal decision, people up and left the church, some not having found a new church in nearly two years, but not returning. It is such a loss to members who have been there for 30-40 years. I have only been a member for three years, and I feel such hurt that a church can be lost over who is allowed to attend. My heart aches, for God so loved the world, meaning all of us. So, your post is timely. It’s time the Church separates from politics, and simply do the will of God to love everyone as we love ourselves.

It is sad when we do not love as Christ loves us. May you be wrapped his Christ’s arms of love.
