Jesus The Good Shepherd Calls You By Name

Wondering if anyone knows your name and who you are? Jesus said he is the Good Shepherd and calls each one of his sheep by their name. We are his sheep, know his voice and recognize him. He leads us, loves us and gives his life for us. Your name and identity are so precious to him.

But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. The watchman opens the door for this man, and the sheep listen to his voice and heed it; and he calls his own sheep by name and brings (leads) them out. When he has brought his own sheep outside, he walks on before them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. (John 10:2-4 AMPC) I am (Jesus) the Good Shepherd; and I know and recognize My own, and My own know and recognize Me. (John 10:14 AMPC)

    It’s easy to feel anonymous in this world, even among our brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s comforting to know that the Good Shepherd (God) knows each of His sheep by name. And, not only does God deeply know every one of his children, He also calls them by name. Thank you for the reminder, sister Hazel. God Bless!
