Rely And Trust In Jesus

by Hazel Straub

What you think on and what you look at determines who you become. If we think about our mistakes and regrets, depression accompanies us. On the other hand, if we speak and think about Scripture, eating, chewing and thinking about a certain promise, it becomes part of our inner self.

Looking and thinking about Jesus as our Redeemer, Healer, Deliverer and Help, keeps us relying on him, not our circumstances. Healing of trauma, emotions and body will occur as doubt leaves, and trust in the Lord remains. We know Jesus, who is the Truth and the Truth sets us free.

Let the words of my mouth be for your pleasure, and the meditation of my heart before you, Lord Jehovah, my helper and my Savior.  (Psalm 19:14 ABPE)

  1. Amen, Hazel. And this fallen world is not neutral in the war for people’s minds. The enemy of our souls seeks to plant doubt, shame, and unbelief in our hearts. As you said, we must think about God’s truth, not the lies of the evil one.

  3. Another wonderful post!
It immediately brought to mind – “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
