Difficulties And Faith In God

by Hazel Straub

Going through a trial? God gives us character tests. If we fail the first time, we will get to take the test again, until we pass. In this process, we are not alone because Holy Spirit is our helper. Take the time to listen and follow his instructions, so you can past the test.

God is full of mercy, grace, love and compassion. He wants us to pass the test! Have faith in God.

My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. (James 1:2-4 TPT)

  5. Interesting point – James takes us farther when he explains it is the endurance and faith without doubts which ensures we remain close to God and receive his blessing and support. James is explaining what it is to be a Christian. We have to live as well as say it.

    • Yes, we must take action and live it. It is important to be a doer of the Word.

      • I haven’t noticed any gold around here, but every manner of fire indeed. Just as one gets used to the heat, a new type of fuel brings a different flame. But, notice the end of Job

      • You have gold inside of you. “Yet he knows the way I have taken; when he has tested me, I will emerge as pure gold.” (Job 23:10) And yes, Job got double restored to him, after he was tested.

      • So true, but I hope to be worth more than mere gold. Gold is construction material in heaven; they pave the roads with it.

  7. I have been experiencing this for the past year. I have a list of trials that we have been facing this year. They seem to come in waves and sometimes they feel unbearable. But God has been good and compassionate and faithful.
