Trust And Rest In God

by Hazel Straub

Have you desired emotional support, when you were going through difficulties? Did you wonder where your support was? At times, your life routines will crumble, so your only reliable alternative is complete reliance on Daddy God, for his support and help. No longer trusting in the natural or your own ability to cope but solely resting on the Lord our God.

Flesh and natural strength fails but God is our refuge, strength and support. He never fails or abandons but stays close. His presence is dependable and your refuge from the storm. Rest and believe he will be with you, no matter what the circumstances. Your place of strength, is resting in the loving kindness, mercy, and grace of God.

God is our shelter and our strength.
When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help.
So why run and hide?
No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails.
When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless.
When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless.
Even in heavy winds and huge waves,
or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless.
(Psalms 46:1-3 VOICE)

  1. AMEN!! Most time people are no where around when you need them – especially the ones who you have helped!

  2. I woke up this morning with uneasy feelings concerning current events and future events. I got up and spent time in Psalms. Psalms is so uplifting. After reading for sometime, once again, I was reminded that our Father is our ever present help in time of trouble. He has this!

  6. Amen, Hazel. Your comment reminds me of a favorite quote among educators. “You can’t scare me. I’m a teacher!”

As Christians we can just as confidently say, “You can’t scare me. I’m a child of God!”

    Thank you, and God Bless.

    • So often we look at others or ourselves, rather than to God for our help. He never fails us. \o/

      • Yes absolutely true and we sure are humans so there are all kinds of flaws in us. Instead of putting all faith and trust in God we look at others for help. We are all his children he will never fail us👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
