God Gives Us Victory!

by Hazel Straub

Have the pressure and concerns of this life caused you to groan? God hears your pain, even when you do not call out to him. This is the Passover season when the children of Israel were in bondage in Egypt. God heard their pain and delivered them out of slavery, unfair treatment, having their children murdered. and more. A lamb that was without spot or blemish was killed, for each household, the blood put over the doorway, and the whole lamb eaten. The death angel passed over the houses that had the lamb’s blood on it. The other households lost their first born sons and the Israelites were allowed to leave Egypt and were given gold, silver, and garments, making them wealthy as they left. The king and his army pursued them but God miraculously delivered the Israelites and they saw their enemies no more. They all ate the Passover lamb and not one of them was sick after 400 years of slavery. Jesus is our Passover Lamb and is causing us to pass over into victory and our destinies.

Then God struck down their firstborn sons,
the pride and joy of every Egyptian family.
At last, God freed all the Hebrews from their slavery
and sent them away laden with the silver and gold of Egypt.
And not even one was feeble on their way out!
Egypt was relieved at their exodus, ready to see them go,
for the terror of the Lord of the Hebrews had fallen upon them!
(Psalm 105:36-38 TPT)

It was an impossible situation and God gave the victory. Today, we all have challenges that we face. The only way we overcome is to know that God is with us and he never leaves or forsakes us. His presence goes with us and he is our deliverer, redeemer, and savior. It is not the time to concentrate on the problems. Know that nothing is impossible for God. He is on your side and as you look to him, he will deliver you. Trust and believe him. Keep your focus on his presence. God desires to take you across the raging river into the promises he has for you. With you following God and his presence you will have victory over every circumstance that has tormented you in the past. Even as Pharaoh and his army pursued the Israelites to bring them back into slavery, God had the last word and the enemy perished in the sea. God gives you victory over what appears too strong. God gives us the victory! Rejoice!

Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD: “I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea. The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him! (Exodus 15:1-2 NLT)
