Apostolic Wisdom

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

The people who truly support and believe in the call of God on your life, are ecstatic, love when God starts elevating you, and cannot resist helping you. They have the God kind of love, because it delightfully thrills them to see you embrace who you are in Christ.

However, those who do not truly support and believe in God’s vision for your life, are apathetic, loathe when God starts promoting you, and cannot help but destructively criticize you in lieu of helping. They have the “crab mentality”, for it makes them uncomfortably ill to see you embrace who you are in Christ.

The term crab mentality refers to the behavior of crabs in the bucket or pot, who try to seek freedom. The crabs could easily escape one after another but they pull down each other and prevent anyone from escaping. In the process they collectively, suffer suffocation and death. In other words, they kill each other off, instead of lifting each other up.

  3. So true!

  4. yes and amen! thank you for speaking the truth in love; the devil jumps on their attempts to pull you back down into this world system, and tries to make you feel bad for leaving those who refuse to listen, hear, obey and do the Word, preferring the doctrines of man and demons, not willing to leave the mixed messages from satan’s tree of the knowledge of good and evil because of fear of man not fear of God; not willing to leave the old for the tree of life in Christ and Christ in us. A little leaven leavens the whole bunch; we have to leave the bunches of old grapes to be in the cluster of the new of Christ’s Vine that flows with the new wine in new wineskins; clothed by the white garment of Christ, not trying to patch the old human garment spotted by sin, unrighteousness and rebellion from God.
Abba Father, we seek first your kingdom of God and your righteousness, for we have none apart from Christ. We ask and receive all the fullness of Christ to live, move and have his being in us. We knock on the Door and enter Christ who opens Himself to us; the new and living Way. We listen and hear the knock when Christ comes to each of us to open our door to let Christ into every spot within, not holding back anything; intimately communing with Christ within our soul, conquering, and granted to be seated with Christ in heavenly places with our Father, while Holy Spirit makes God’s home in us. Oh, the Blood of Jesus; the wonder-working power of the Blood, Water and Spirit of God our Eternal Heavenly Father!

  5. Reblogged this on Coming of Age For Men and commented:
Amen! We should lift each other up instead of killing each other. If we don’t have God’s love within us, we can’t be fake and exhort that towards people who needs it. Thank you for sharing! Stay blessed! \O/ 😀

  6. Great perspective, sadly in the American Church there are too many crabs & not enough helpers.
