Words Seasoned With Grace Salt

by Hazel Straub

Honor the Lord God today, by your response to others. Show his love to those who don’t treat you well. To those who irritate, show graciousness. To those who degrade, show love. Bless those with a bad attitude and do not curse them, in your thoughts or deeds.

Season your interactions today, with love, grace and mercy. Let salt that preserves, soothes soreness, removes stains and adds good taste, flow from your mouth. How you treat those that cross your path, is your worship to God.  Forgiveness and grace for others, grants you forgiveness and grace.

Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. (Colossians 4:6 NKJV)

  1. God and I were just talking about this concept yesterday — especially about being able to see and feel for each person in my life exactly what God sees and feels for them. What a timely confirmation for me.

  7. I once preached a message titled ‘Salt to Taste.’ The point being just what you have shared here. The example that comes to mind today is the ease of take-out food vs. the time and care needed to prepared a nice meal at home. If our lives are to be lived honoring the Lord Jesus, we must all take the time and care to season our lives with more of Him!
    Blessings,
