by Hazel Straub
The grace of God causes us to trust in Jesus, for our salvation (welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, safety; saved or rescued and delivered from destruction by God). Salvation is a gift from God and we cannot perform or be good enough to earn it. God gives it to us, freely! We have a new identity through Christ-the Anointed One living inside of us.
For it was only through this wonderful grace that we believed in him. Nothing we did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the gracious gift from God that brought us to Christ! So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving. (Ephesians 2:8-9 TPT)

This is beautiful. Reminds me of the song, ‘Reckless Love’ and it’s line…”I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away.” Blows my mind, His love for us. Thank you for this post 🙂

Too bad that many people consider free gifts too cheap to accept, especially when it comes to God’s greatest gift!

Yes! The price paid for God’s grace was more expensive than we know!
