Ask God For Wisdom

by Hazel Straub

Knowledge does not make a person wise. God is the source of true wisdom. If you lack it, ask God in faith and you will receive it. Grace and wisdom go together for living an abundant life.

And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace. (James 1:5 TPT)

Without God’s wisdom our lives have no purpose and we are like sheep without a shepherd.

I like that you said grace and wisdom go hand in hand for an abundant life. I was reading Proverbs chapter 1 yesterday and it says wisdom laughs at us when calamity comes because we failed to follow wisdom and I had the same revelation. Wisdom may laugh but Grace does not. Wisdom gives us the opportunity to live without failing, but when we do there is Grace. Both have their own beauty but as you say so well; we need both for an abundant life. Beautiful wisdom, beautiful grace, beautiful God. Thanks Hazel. Love L

I loved the line: asking him in faith. Most of the times, we ask in desperation, frustration, and agony and when we don’t see instant answers, we lose our minds. Having faith is a pre-requisite.
    Keep it up! 🙂
