God Is On Our Side!

by Hazel Straub

No matter what the circumstances, in which we find ourselves, God is our refuge and shelter. We can run to him for safe keeping, even though there might be hurricane winds blowing, mountains crumbling and challenging changes.

Nothing can erode our faith in the God, who commands the Hosts of Heaven, who war on our behalf. With God on our side, we have no fear because he protects and cares for us.

God is a safe place to hide,
ready to help when we need him.
We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom,
courageous in seastorm and earthquake,
Before the rush and roar of oceans,
the tremors that shift mountains.
Jacob-wrestling God fights for us,
God-of-Angel-Armies protects us. (Psalm 46:1-3 MSG)

    God bless you.

    • God is blessing you, Papberry!

      • Amen

  2. Amen

  3. And if He is on our side, who can be against…

    • No one and nothing can be against us! Hallelujah!

  4. Great word! Great encouragement in a world gone berserk.

I often quote my own personal translation of Romans 8:31, and say, “If God is for us, then anyone with any sense at all will RUSH to get onto our side.”

    • Love your version, Sister Sandra.

  5. Living on the east coast of Florida with Hurricane Matthew barreling towards us, this is a great reminder. Thank you!

    • You are welcome, Wanda! There is nothing like having God as your protection!

  6. Thank you for the encouragement! We all need to be reminded from time to time.

    • Blessings! You are welcome!
