Overcomer Not Regretful

by Hazel Straub

Though you fall thousands of times, it is imperative to get back up and continue. The journey does not go to the fleet of feet but to those who do not give up. The roll call of those who are faithful to God, are filled with diverse personalities and challenges. Perfection is not needed but persevering despite difficulties. Failures and sin call for repentance, getting back on course, putting all trust in Yahweh and fully relying on him for strength not your prowess.

Now’s not the time to throw a pity party and wallow in the failures of the past. Instead it’s time to praise God, for his goodness and to move forward! You are an Overcomer.

Though a righteous man falls seven times, he will get up, but the wicked will stumble into ruin. (Proverbs 24:16 HCSB)

“Now’s not the time to throw a pity party and wallow in the failures of the past. Instead it’s time to praise God, for his goodness and to move forward!” Wow! Have you been right on for me this week! Bless you for your faithlessness!

I’m thankful that God gives us 2nd, 58th, and 103,436,445th chances!

As in John Maxwell’s book “Failing Forward” is the way to go. We learn from our failures and with God’s enabling and empowering, we move to greater achievements.

Yes, we pick ourselves up and press on toward the goal of the Lord Jesus.
