Two siblings can live through poverty, pain, and abuse but turn out differently, due to different visions. One accepts the past, as his present and future. The other sees possibilities and beyond where he is today and envisions himself, with a college diploma and a profession. One stays the same and repeats the cycle. The other one looks beyond his adverse circumstances, to move to fulfill his dreams, for a limitless future.
Your past does not have to define you but it can develop your godly character. Change your thinking, follow the Good Shepherd moving with him. Allow God to direct your steps taking you outside of your comfort zone. Trust the Dream Maker and the dreams, he has placed inside of you. See yourself embracing your destiny and there is no limit to where it will take you.
Now Yahweh said to Abram, “Get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you. (Genesis 12:1 WEB)
oh yes. Encouraging post. Check out “my passion page” on my blog and u will see why this post is so encouraging for me. Ma dreams are enormously gigantic (over emphasis i know :D) however, trusting God to make them come to pass is all that keeps me alive. smile.

Went over and checked out your passions’ page, saw about your dreams. It is true God gives you dreams that you carry like an unborn child.
No matter how long you wait, the time comes to give birth. Your babies will be birthed, alive and kicking. They will affect nations. Keep pushing! ๐

The Lord is gracious who takes our pasts and turns them into possibilities. To date He’s taken every rotten thing that happened to me (and even those I did myself) and redeemed them. To my amazement, they became the stepping stones for ministry. ๐

I suffered extreme abuse for the first 22 years of my life, but I praise God for each and every abuse and all that happened, for when He called me to Himself, 55 years ago, He made me a NEW person, and He has used those early years to make me what I am today and to give me a ministry to the abused.
We serve an incredibly amazing God!
