Doing great exploits for God, having the right doctrine, and sacrificing our lives gain us nothing, if the most important thing, love, is missing. God gives us agape, selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love through his son, Yeshua the Messiah. We receive his transforming love, so we can act as a conduit of his love to others without discrimination. Love causes us to die to selfishness and transforms hearts and lives.
1 Corinthians 16: 14 (Amplified)
“Let everything you do be done in love (true love to God and man as inspired by God’s love for us).”
Wonderful words. Agape love is not mentioned very often, thank you! We have a family plaque of 1 Corinthians 13:13
many blessings,
Tj

You are welcome. Without agape love, we would be lost. It makes all the difference in giving us new life. Abundant blessings that overflow to you with much agape!

Hazel, This is so true. Only after experiencing Jesus’ unconditional love can we make the decision to die to self and extend to others that same agape. This is so needed, especially in today’s world where love is faked by good acts and efforts. Only Jesus can transform our hearts, thereby compelling us to add agape love to our good works. Betsy

Betsy, it is so true that we need Jesus to transform our hearts. To often we as Christians settle for religious acts and never fully surrender our hearts. Intimacy with Jesus is neglected for polishing the outside of the body and not letting a greater work happen in our hearts with agape. Thank you for commenting.
