To Love, as God loves is to operate from a state of Kingship. Kings rule from a state of magnanimity.( 1 : the quality of being magnanimous : loftiness of spirit enabling one to bear trouble calmly, to disdain meanness and pettiness, and to display a noble generosity). As Kings, we have the ability to bestow forgiveness on those that have offended us. God has given us his great love in abundance. He has also given us grace (his divine ability) to release this love to others. It is only when we have a deficit in this area that we are reluctant to release it. This reluctance also hinders us from receiving love. This is actually a manifestation of the spirit of poverty. Be the King you really are…release those you have held captive and you will be released.
This made me think of “it’s all how we look at things”. I told somebody with anger and pride once…(hard to explain, but hope I make sense)..that they were actually letting someone get one over on them by being angry and prideful at the wrong things… I explained that everytime they got mad at a person or gave in to pride, well, the devil was laughing at them and having their lunch. I said, “Why don’t you take that anger and pride and re-direct it to where it’s due…the kingdom of hell! Get mad at the devil and don’t let him get one over on you!” If you take everything that we do that is sinful and wrong, and turn it around, oh how strong we could be! If you take someone who is full of fear…they actually have great faith..greater than many powerful ministers..but in the bad…and it oftentimes happens to them. Why? Because they had strong faith in what they feared. Take that faith and turn it around in a godly way..wow! How powerful an instrument they could be for the Lord! Take someone with the spirit of lust..a constant craving to want something….now turn that lust around and use it toward the things of God..my goodness…they’d always be hungry for God and the things of Him! See what I mean? You’ve got it here sister! God bless you and think for the thought provoking article!

Yes, it is a matter of perception. But many times because of the condition of our hearts, it prevents us from being able to respond the way God requires us to respond. In order to do this, we must continually submit to the process of allowing God to purge our hearts. As we do this, we’ll begin to see things through God’s perception. This is the place we want to be, because it will cause us to respond the way the Lord would in any given situation.
