God through his son, Jesus the Messiah, makes us in right standing with him. We receive abundant blessings because Jesus paid for all of our sins and transgressions, by his death and resurrection. Also he completely surrounds us with favor. Favor is preferential treatment, something granted out of goodwill and not from justice. God grants us unmerited kindness and gives us entry to privilege, as a free gift.
Thank you God for your shield of favor on my life!
Psalm 5:12 (NIV)
“For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.”
