Jesus said he would never abandon us and that we are not orphans. Many times we feel and act like orphans, who try to earn love and approval by performing and doing things for God. We react in fear like servants not as sons. We live life without realizing that we have a home, where we can enjoy and be secure in Daddy God’s embrace and unconditional love. God created us in his image, as his family. Jesus came to us to restore our relationship. He is the way, the truth and the life and the only way to Daddy God. His love is without measure.
Jesus is God’s beloved son. We are in Jesus and are also beloved. Our relationship with Daddy God is like our elder brother’s Jesus relationship: 1. Only do what Daddy says and does. 2. Live and enjoy life and his love, as Daddy God’s child.
Daddy God is well pleased with you. You are his child and he loves you. Rest secure in knowing his love. His blessing and favor rests on you. He gives you your identity through Christ Jesus.
John 14:18-20 (Amplified)
“I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you. Just a little while now, and the world will not see Me any more, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. At that time [when that day comes] you will know [for yourselves] that I am in My Father, and you [are] in Me, and I [am] in you.”
