Nothing Is Impossible

by Hazel Straub

Daddy God is the God of the Possible. With God you can do the impossible. He is calling to you, “Come.” Get out of the boat tossed by waves of fear and doubt, leaving behind the safety of the known. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and you will find that the wind and waves do  not faze you, as you walk on the water. If your eyes turn to the howling wind, or the huge waves and you start to sink, know Jesus is there to pick you up.

It’s time to leave the comfort of the known where fear and doubt dwells, to live in faith and trust in God. Although, you have not done this before, there is great reward in believing and not doubting, Jesus’ word, “Come.”

As soon as the people were fed, Jesus told his disciples to get into their boat and to go to the other side of the lake while he stayed behind to dismiss the people.  After the crowds dispersed, Jesus went up into the hills to pray. And as night fell he was there praying alone with God. But the disciples, who were now in the middle of the lake, ran into trouble, for their boat was tossed about by the high winds and heavy seas.

At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came to them, walking on the waves! When the disciples saw him walking on top of the water, they were terrified and screamed, “A ghost!”  Then Jesus said, “Be brave and don’t be afraid. I am here!” Peter shouted out, “Lord, if it’s really you, then have me join you on the water!” “Come and join me,” Jesus replied.

So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus. But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out. Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and lifted him up and said, “What little faith you have! Why would you let doubt win?”  And the very moment they both stepped into the boat, the raging wind ceased. Then all the disciples crouched down before him and worshiped Jesus. They said in adoration, “You are truly the Son of God!” (Matthew 14:22-33 TPT)

Follow The Good Shepherd

Just because you have always done things the same way, in this new season, you may have to shift. God, your Good Shepherd, wants you to listen and follow him, not stay where you are comfortable.

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. (Hebrews 11:8 NLT)

God Is Faithful

by Hazel Straub

When God makes a promise, with full assurance it will happen. Although it might not happen on our time schedule, God will fulfill it. He is dependable and faithful. Believe it! He will fulfill all he has promised.

God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through? (Numbers 23:19 NLT)

Faith In God

by Hazel Straub

Keep your eyes on the goal I have set before you. Trust and depend on me in faith. Do not rely on what you see in the natural but in faith in me and my Word. Obey me in faith, believing my promises. Know I am dependable and will fulfill all I promised. Walk on the Word I have given, not on your feelings or circumstances. Believe me and seek close relationship with me.

And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him. (Hebrews 11:6 TPT)

Praise And Gratitude To God

by Hazel Straub

God our Creator has given us all good things. He is the source of all good things in our lives. We are called to express our thanksgiving, praise and gratitude to him every day no matter what our circumstances. When we are full of praise to God, our perspective changes. God is helping us and at work in our lives no matter what our circumstances.

Thank you Lord for a new day and your loving presence!

The life that pleases me is a life lived in the gratitude of grace,
always choosing to walk with me in what is right.
This is the sacrifice I desire from you.
If you do this, more of my salvation will unfold for you. (Psalm 50:23 TPT)

Humble Yourself Before God!

by Hazel Straub

The love and mercy of God is so great. He does not treat us as we deserve. He asks us to humble ourselves and get low. He gives grace to the humble.

If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands. (1 Peter 5:6 TPT)

Forgiveness

by Hazel Straub

Forgiveness is an intentional and voluntary process where the victim lets go of  vengeance, grudges and bitterness along with other negative emotions. The offense is released so the victim no longer carries it or meditates on the offense.

God is merciful and when one turns from their sin back to God, shows a change of heart and comes through the blood of Jesus, they are forgiven. God, however, requires that we forgive others, so that we can receive forgiveness. If we are unwilling, to let offenses go and forgive, we will not receive it. Failing to forgive also affects one’s whole family.

Later Peter approached Jesus and said, “How many times do I have to forgive my fellow believer who keeps offending me? Seven times?”

Jesus answered, “Not seven times, Peter, but seventy times seven times!  The lessons of forgiveness in heaven’s kingdom realm can be illustrated like this:

“There once was a king who had servants who had borrowed money from the royal treasury. He decided to settle accounts with each of them. As he began the process, it came to his attention that one of his servants owed him one billion dollars. So he summoned the servant before him and said to him, ‘Pay me what you owe me.’ When his servant was unable to repay his debt, the king ordered that he be sold as a slave along with his wife and children and every possession they owned as payment toward his debt. The servant threw himself facedown at his master’s feet and begged for mercy. ‘Please be patient with me. Just give me more time and I will repay you all that I owe.’ Upon hearing his pleas, the king had compassion on his servant, and released him, and forgave his entire debt.

“No sooner had the servant left when he met one of his fellow servants, who owed him twenty thousand dollars He seized him by the throat and began to choke him, saying, ‘You’d better pay me right now everything you owe me!’ His fellow servant threw himself facedown at his feet and begged, ‘Please be patient with me. If you’ll just give me time, I will repay you all that is owed.’ But the one who had his debt forgiven stubbornly refused to forgive what was owed him. He had his fellow servant thrown into prison and demanded he remain there until he repaid the debt in full.

“When his associates saw what was going on, they were outraged and went to the king and told him the whole story. The king said to him, ‘You scoundrel! Is this the way you respond to my mercy? Because you begged me, I forgave you the massive debt that you owed me. Why didn’t you show the same mercy to your fellow servant that I showed to you?’ In a fury of anger, the king turned him over to the prison guards to be tortured until all his debt was repaid. In this same way, my heavenly Father will deal with any of you if you do not release forgiveness from your heart toward your fellow believer.” (Matthew 18:21-35 TPT)

Radiate With God’s Love And Joy

by Hazel Straub

Our walk with the Lord starts inside our hearts. His love fills us, so we can love each other, with respect and honor. When we listen in constant communion with the God, it changes us from the inside out.

Let the inner movement of your heart always be to love one another, and never play the role of an actor wearing a mask. Despise evil and embrace everything that is good and virtuous. Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another. Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times.(Romans 12:9-12 TPT)

Allow The Word Of God To Change You

by Hazel Straub

God has given us his Word, to read and put it into practice in our lives. It can save our lives and give us abundant life. If we pay attention and obey, blessings from God will flow to us. He doesn’t want us to merely acquire knowledge but to get low to the ground, teachable, allowing it to correct our direction and change, leading us into true freedom. The Word applied makes your life poetry that blesses others.

So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. (James 1:21-25 NLT)
