God Is Kind To You!

by Hazel Straub

God is full of compassionate and mercy towards us. His lovingkindness towards us never ends. He is worthy of all our worship and praise.

Lord, you’re so kind and tenderhearted
to those who don’t deserve it
and so patient with people who fail you!
Your love is like a flooding river
overflowing its banks with kindness. (Psalm 103:8 TPT)

Need Wisdom And Insight?

by Hazel Straub

Discouraged, where can you go to become encouraged? Need wisdom and insight? What is more desirable than gold and sweeter than honey? What is this? It is the Word of God the Bible!

The instructions of the Lord are perfect,
reviving the soul.
The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
The commandments of the Lord are right,
bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving insight for living.
Reverence for the Lord is pure,
lasting forever.
The laws of the Lord are true;
each one is fair.
They are more desirable than gold,
even the finest gold.
They are sweeter than honey,
even honey dripping from the comb.
They are a warning to your servant,
a great reward for those who obey them. (Psalm 19:7-11 NLT)

God Designed You

by Hazel Straub

God created you with a purpose and will complete the good work started in you. He is actively involved in your life and is with you. He sees the finished design inside of you and works to see it completed. This may involve life changes. Enjoy the process and know you are a beautiful work in progress.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6 NASB)

Powerful Prayers Answered

by Hazel Straub

When we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, we have close relationship with Daddy God. As we pray according to his will and plans, he answers our prayers. He loves us and wants the best for us.  Prayer changes the impossible into reality. God listens and answers! Prayer preserves people from disaster and harm, averts wars, brings salvation, deliverance and restoration. Prayer is powerful!

I write these things to you who believe in the name of God’s Son so that you can know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence that we have in our relationship with God: If we ask for anything in agreement with his will, he listens to us. If we know that he listens to whatever we ask, we know that we have received what we asked from him. (1 John 5:13-15 CEB)

Hungry And Thirsty For God!

by Hazel Straub

Hungry for more of God? His Spirit stirs the hunger as we realize how dry and thirsty we are for more of his presence. He calls us to dig deep into his Word and to have a personal relationship with God our Father. Oh Lord, make me more hungry for you!

A David Psalm, When He Was out in the Judean Wilderness

God—you’re my God!
I can’t get enough of you!
I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God,
traveling across dry and weary deserts.
So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory.
In your generous love I am really living at last!
My lips brim praises like fountains.
I bless you every time I take a breath;
My arms wave like banners of praise to you. (Psalm 63:1-4 MSG)

Daddy God Cherishes You

by Hazel Straub

As one thinks in their heart so is he. Many times we live defeated lives because of how we think. We pay more attention to what the major news media says and our circumstances but not to what God says in the Bible. Our focus turns to the negative and misses how precious we are to God.

Look up and focus on Daddy God, who loves you and cherishes you, in all of his thoughts towards you. He is always thinking of you and is for you! With him on your side, you are victorious! When we surrender to him, he leads us in excellent paths.

Every single moment you (Daddy God) are thinking of me!
How precious and wonderful to consider
that you cherish me constantly in your every thought!
O God, your desires toward me are more
than the grains of sand on every shore!
When I awake each morning, you’re still with me. (Psalms 139:17-18 TPT)

God Our Everlasting Rock

by Hazel Straub

When we have confidence and reliance on God, leaning on him for our strength, he gives us peace (wholeness, completeness, prosperity, health). Though we are weak, God sustains us and is our Rock, always there for those of us, who trust in him. No matter what storms come, he keeps us safe.

You (God) will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. (Isaiah 26:3-4 AMPC)

God Pleasing Rewards

by Hazel Straub

Worried and concerned about how you look to others and if they approve of you?

It is easy to get caught, trying to please people. However, the approval that is important comes from Yahweh God, our Father in Heaven. Pleasing people exhausts one, due to its demands for performance, compromise and control. It snares you into a spider web of deceit, with defeat and insecurity. God pleasing however, gives you your true identity, as you put your focus, actions, confidence and trust in him. You safely rest in the Lord, at peace because he is trustworthy and does not change. When we please God, the rewards are great.

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans on, trusts in, and puts his confidence in the Lord is safe and set on high. Many crave and seek the ruler’s favor, but the wise man [waits] for justice from the Lord. (Proverbs 29:25-26 AMPC)

Humble Prayer Answered

by Hazel Straub

Facing incredible odds that seem insurmountable? Ancient Judah King Asa had a similar situation. The enemy that greatly out numbered their troops invaded the land. King Asa went to prayer crying for God’s intervention. God heard the prayer and gave supernatural victory to Judah. God is no respecter of people and what he does for one, he will do for another. (Acts 10:34) When we cry out in prayer, he hears and answers those who trust in the Lord.

Then Asa cried out to the LORD his God, “O LORD, no one but you can help the powerless against the mighty! Help us, O LORD our God, for we trust in you alone. It is in your name that we have come against this vast horde. O LORD, you are our God; do not let mere men prevail against you!” (2 Chronicles 14:11)
