Do you find it easier to see others’ faults, rather than your own? We have a tendency to judge the twig in our brother’s eye and miss the plank protruding from our own eye. This behavior causes us to sin, with haughty arrogance, self-exaltation, and pride.
Daddy God, deliver me from taking liberties with your grace, mercy and pardon. Wash and make me clean from faults and sins, I do not recognize. Keep me from becoming over familiar with you and presuming on your mercy, while filled with pride, self-importance, and superiority. Father, I turn from these sins and humble myself before you. Soften and make my heart pliable, to your instruction. May my thought life and speech be acceptable in your presence, for you are my stability, anchor and rescuer, through your Son, Jesus.
“Who can discern unintentional sins? Cleanse me from hidden faults. Also keep your servant from presumptuous sins, so that they won’t control me. Then I will be blameless and free of great offense. May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be unobjectionable in your presence, Adonai, my Rock and Redeemer. (Psalm 19:13-15 CJB)
Amen!

Amen. And thanking Him for Roman’s 8:1-5: “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.”
