When we seek God and dwell in him, his living water nourishes us. In his presence, our perspective changes to an eternal viewpoint. We become like a tenacious olive tree that enjoys long life, produces olives, oil for light, eating, and anointing oil. The olive tree is an evergreen. The roots of the olive tree can thrive in hot arid conditions, needing minimal water, and some still produce, after 2,000 years. The olive branch, is the symbol for peace. Noah sent out a dove from the ark after the flood and the dove returned with an olive branch in its beak. Holy Spirit’s presence comes in with the anointing of olive oil that breaks the heavy yoke.
Like the olive tree we will flourish, as we seek God, bask in his presence, and produce oil, as we are pressed and poured like oil.
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in and confidently rely on the loving-kindness and the mercy of God forever and ever. (Psalm 52:8 AMPC)

Amen. The Lord shall provide. On a side note, I recall an invasive tree species during my many years of living in eastern Montana. The hardy Russian Olive tree flourished as a welcome shelter belt for many early farmers.

The Russian olive tree was not native to Montana. Good it provided shelter to early farmers. In Alaska we have invasive trees that were introduced before it was realized that they would choke the native species. It is a good thing for a believer to be a flourishing green olive tree.
