Daddy God, holy is your name. Thank you for adopting me as your child, through your son, Jesus. Your love, grace and tender care for me, surpasses all my expectations.
I have the mind (the ability to perceive, understand, judge and decide) of Christ. My mind is not governed by circumstances but by the peace of God. I declare that anxiety, fear, worry, frustration, indecisiveness and confusion have no place in my mind. I reason, think, perceive, understand and make decisions like Jesus.
No longer do I conform to the world, but am transformed by the renovation of my mind and distinguish what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2) I think more like Jesus and take captive every thought that contradicts Jesus in my life. I think with clarity, accuracy, and truth. I thank you, Lord, that you are the Ruler of my mind and life through Jesus.
Amen!
“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.” (Romans 12:2 TPT)

This is a beautiful and uplifting post, Hazel! Your words remind us of the power of renewing our minds and thinking like Jesus. How do you personally maintain a mindset that is focused on God’s will and truth amidst the challenges of daily life?

Thank you, Brent, for your thoughtful and encouraging comment. In answer to your question, on how I personally maintain a mindset focused on God’s will and truth, it is a challenge. Each day my first priority is to invite Father God into my day. My imagination is used to see myself living inside of Jesus, with his love, I listen to Scripture and lately have been in Psalm 91 (protection), Psalm 23 (provision), and Psalm 51 (repentance and cleansing of my heart). As I listen, I ask Holy Spirit make it come alive to me and speak to me. My prayer is to be aware of the presence of God all day long. When I make God first in my day, it is easier to walk with him throughout the day. Thankfulness and praise for his goodness begins the day. There are a couple declarations and decrees of Scripture that I speak. As I go throughout the day, I listen to Holy Spirit. If I get angry, frustrated, or have the wrong response to life, there is a check from him. I repent and turn back to the love of Jesus, and continue the day.

That’s wonderful. I read a book written by Harold Hill called How to live like a kings kid. It was inspirational and had a similar theme to what you’re doing.
