How often do we let the past dictate our present? Does the past rob us from enjoying today? Are you still carrying a heavy burden from the past? Do you focus more on what was and forget to enjoy the beauty and fragrance of fresh flowers?
The past was difficult but you did not give up and have passed through to the other side. Do not let the past rob you of the delight of a new day. God is with you and has good things and a new adventure for you today.
Forgive and forget the past! Let the past go! Embrace your today! See the dry desert, in your life, bloom with fresh beauty and opportunities because Yahweh has placed a river in your life! Enjoy your life with a thankful heart!
This is what Yahweh says:
Forget what happened in the past,
and do not dwell on events from long ago.
I am going to do something new.
It is already happening. Don’t you recognize it?
I will clear a way in the desert.
I will make rivers on dry land. (Isaiah 43:18-19 NOG)

Thank you for this post! I have someone close to me who has great difficulty letting go of the past. It is a struggle that he cannot seem to shake. I encourage Him to let go because just as you wrote, hanging onto the past will rob us of the joys of today. But when the past starts knocking on the recesses of his mind, he always opens the door. I’m praying that God will free him of this struggle so he can one day experience the great joy that is waiting for him!
