Hardships Are Fertilizer?

by Hazel Straub

How often do you look at the challenges, struggles and things that seem unjust, in your life and wonder, how God can turn them into good?

God wants you to know that the hard and difficult things you have gone through, fertilizes the great beauty that grows within you. You are a rare rose, fragrant and beautiful, fueled by the difficult and hard things in your life, that become great compost to accelerate your growth. Rejoice!

Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. (James 1:2-3 AMPC)

In comparison my rebuttal is “Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.”

God uses everything in our life for good, or fertilizer. Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and sold as a slave.

      Genesis is 50:20
As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this—to preserve the lives of many people.

Given the times the world finds itself in, this testament breathes with timely goodness from God’s Word. I’ve never thought of our hardships as a sort of fertilizer from God’s richest compost. There is renewed strength in this visualization.

Yes, God uses what we think as hard to make us strong. Saran thought he had won, when he crucified Christ. Instead this became the biggest victory with our resurrection to new life in Christ. Hallelujah!
