When we confess our sins to God, he is faithful and forgives us because Christ paid for them. Confession brings restoration to our relationship with God, without blockages, as we change our mind, turn from the destructive path, and return to God. We are his beloved children and no longer defiled by sin because of the blood of Christ cleanses us. This brings us great joy.
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 1:9 NLT)

Forgiveness of sins is a promise for all humanity that only God can give us. It encourages, indeed commands us to forgive one another

The picture that you chose was so perfect. I immediately pictured God welcoming us just like that little child was welcomed by his father. I love what you said about how our relationship with God is restored without blockages. He is so gracious. Thank you for sharing.
