Overwhelming Problems?

Frustrated that your knowledge, wisdom, and ways of tackling the problems that confront you do not work? Our issues will not be solved by men’s wisdom but only by dependence on Yahweh. In 1 Samuel 17, Israel was confronted by foreigners, the Philistines, invading their land. The armies faced each other from a distance and a champion for the enemy arose, making threats. This champion was much larger and taller than the Israelites and had flashy weapons and armor. The Israelites ran away in terror and this happened for forty days. Then a young teenager, who watched his father’s sheep came to give provisions to his older brothers, who were part of the Israelite army. This young man had a different perspective. He had a close relationship with Yahweh and had killed a a bear and lion that had threatened to kill the sheep, he watched. He saw the issue, as one of trusting Yahweh, not in the size of the champion or how things looked in the natural. Based on his relationship with Yahweh, his covenant keeping God, he came in His name with a slingshot and a stone. God gave this young man, David, the victory and the giant champion, Goliath, met his own death and the intruders, fled. The human perspective viewing the size of the problem has nothing to do with its defeat.

We too can come in the name of Yahweh through His one and only son, Jesus, and see victory over what seems in the natural, an unbeatable foe. With Yahweh, nothing is impossible, when we trust in Him, and he gives us victory! Personal relationship and trust in Yahweh fighting with us, gives us the strength to conquer all the troubles facing us! Hallelujah!

Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle-deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in Yahweh our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory! (Psalms 20:7 TPT)

  3. Such a strength giving post Hazel! (Psalm 20:7-9) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call. Be Blessed in your walk with the King!

    • David trusted God to help him win the battle. We can do the same, when we have a close relationship with God and trust him. Blessings to you!
