Amen, brother! A hockey loving Canadian friend of mine likes to say, “With God, a shot on goal is always a good play.” I’m currently right in the middle of something I know God wants me to accomplish. Your post reminds me not to let anything stop me from doing His will–especially not myself. Blessings!

Hello Gabriel,
Thank you for another encouraging word. I do have a question for you, please. I think God has given me gifts in writing and art, yet I feel like these things are under threat due to technological advancements and other factors.
We live in uncertain, and rapidly changing times. At this point, I am struggling with finding the desire to create. My fear of the future is sapping all desire to do things, and God seems like a distant presence.
Do you have any advice?

You are welcome, Tressa!
God has given you gifts of writing and art. These gifts are meant to be used. Ask God our Creator why he gave you these gifts and how does he want you to use them. Pause and listen. Write down what you hear. Keep your focus on God and his goodness to you not what media or the news says. Praise him and be thankful. Read Ephesians and remember that Paul wrote this letter while in prison. Let the truth of God’s love envelop you. Read all the Scriptures you can find on your identity in Christ Jesus and his love for you. God has given you dominion in the earth. Speak to fear and depression and tell them to go. Keep your eyes on Jesus and his finished work. Tressa is a conqueror through Christ who lives inside of you. Know this: “A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men.”
– Proverbs 18:16
The more you use and exercise your gifts the bigger and better they will become. The enemy uses fear and lies to stop you from using your gifts for the glory of God. Resist him and he will have to flee. You are powerful in Christ.
Love and blessings!
