What Do You Think About?

by Hazel Straub

What kind of food do you feed your soul? What do you rehearse and go over in your mind? Do you think about the negative or do you focus on Jesus and his love for you and the promises found in the Scriptures?

The thoughts we entertain either feed toxic thoughts that depresses or feeds faith. Become aware of what comes in through your sense of vision, taste, smell, touch and sound. You choose to take every thought captive through Christ.  We feed faith by rehearsing on the goodness of the Lord. Fear starves when we meditate on the love that Jesus shows us by paying the price for our sins so we enjoy abundant life. Feed faith and starve fear by renewing your mind with the Word of God.

Finally, brothers and sisters, fill your minds with beauty and truth. Meditate on whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is good, whatever is virtuous and praiseworthy. (Philippians 4:8 Voice)
