God is love and his love for us is not based on good or bad behavior. He sent us one and only Son, Jesus, to die for us due to his love. His love flows into us and then we overflow with love and show it to one another. His love brightens our lives and the ones with whom we come into contact and demonstrate his love.
You are beloved and loved!
Those who are loved by God, let his love continually pour from you to one another, because God is love. Everyone who loves is fathered by God and experiences an intimate knowledge of him. The one who doesn’t love has yet to know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8 TPT)

Thank you for that. Very uplifting. But I have a lateral question. I keep hearing that God sent his one and only son, but there are many stories in the Bible that talks about the sons of God. For instance Gen 6:2 :” that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives, whomsoever they chose.” or Job 1:6. So did God have one son or many?

You are welcome, Ran. The sons of God you refer to in the Old Testament, are interpreted by Jewish and Christian sources as angels both good and bad. It does not have anything to do with this post. However, if you read John chapters 1 through 3 it is clear that God had only one and only or begotten Son, who came to earth as a man to redeem fallen man. Romans 8:28-30 “28 And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. 29 For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.…” When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior we are part of him and are called sons of God. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, all that receive him become sons of God.

I appreciate the way you answered Ran’s question regarding the sons of God. There are many so-called contradictions in the Bible that can be removed with a thorough knowledge and understanding of scripture.

Thank you, Peter, I believe it is important to study the Scriptures and ask Holy Spirit to help us understand, what we study. Have a great evening!

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John.5:3)
