Glorify The Lord With Your Life!

by Hazel Straub

Each one has the gift of 24 hours each day, of their life. What do you spend your time thinking upon? Do you meditate on God and his goodness and his incredible love for you or do you think about yourself, flaws, and the difficulties you have? Does pride or humility rule, in your life?

Your purpose in life is to glorify God. When you meditate and complain about your troubles, you major on the wrong things and become full of pride and remain in the mess. Remember, God and his love goes with you through the fire, so you have no need for stress and distress, because fire merely burns the impurities.  You come out of the fire as pure gold! God desires your light to shine brightly, with Jesus.  Others come to the light and see Jesus in you. Trials help you have more of God’s character with God dependence not independence.

Rejoice and worship God! He makes you a sign that people pause and wonder at God’s love and mercy! Your tests turn into a testimony of God’s greatness.

Now, this is what Yahweh says:
“Listen, Jacob, to the One who created you,
Israel, to the one who shaped who you are.
Do not fear,
for I, your Kinsman-Redeemer, will rescue you.
I have called you by name, and you are mine.
When you pass through[b] the deep, stormy sea,
you can count on me to be there with you.
When you pass through raging rivers,
You will not drown.
When you walk through persecution like fiery flames,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not harm you,
for I am your Savior, Yahweh, your mighty God,
the Holy One of Israel!
I give up Egypt as the price to set you free,
Cush and Seba in exchange to bring you back.
Since you are cherished and precious[d] in my eyes,
and because I love you dearly and want to honor[e] you,
I willingly give up nations in exchange for you—
a man to save your life. (Isaiah 43:1-4 TPT)

  3. This morning I got prayer from church elders about my depression. They referenced the Scripture above. I get on my computer, see your post, and here is that passage again!

I also sung on my church’s worship team, and the lyrics to the last song we sung were:

    “And I choose to praise
    To glorify, glorify
    The Name of all names
    That nothing can stand against”

    • Hallelujah! It is amazing, Tressa, how Holy Spirit likes to confirm his message so we understand! Glorify God and as we do so, he occupies the praises of his people with his presence. He changes everything. Abundant blessings of praise and worship, glorifying the Name above all names!

  6. What we invest our lives into is what matters—either the temporary or the eternal. Our purpose is to glorify God, and that’s eternal. Great read!

  7. Amen. So often I hear people ask the question how can they honor the Lord?

Answer is very simple. Honor Him with your life. How a person heart is towards God will show in his or her life.

    Great posting.

    • Amen and amen! The most powerful give is giving God our heart. Then our life follows.
