How do you keep from discouragement? You change your focus from the news media, negative reports and relationships, to Jesus our Lord. He strengthens and helps all who put their faith in him. Know that in him, your spiritual roots go deeply in him and he infuses you with strength and encouragement. Keep focused on him and your day will go much better! Blessings to you, of faith in Jesus!
In the same way you received Jesus our Lord and Messiah by faith, continue your journey of faith, progressing further into your union with him! Your spiritual roots go deeply into his life as you are continually infused with strength, encouraged in every way. For you are established in the faith you have absorbed and enriched by your devotion to him. (Colossians 2:6-7 TPT)

It is not always the things of the world that cause discouragement within certain people. I was one who never went along with the world, or was easily influenced by the world. The Lord had my attention at a very early age.
Sometimes discouragement comes with the fact that God allows the things that go on within the world. That is why it is so important to learn and to know the Lord’s character. We will never understand everything, but he reveals enough to us through his word, through his Holy Spirit, through our encounters of growth, and life lessons.
Everyone is different and God interacts with us according to our own distinction as he knows how to reach us personally.
Yes, there are times when I doubt, but for me it is not because of what is going on within the world so to speak, but as to why certain things have to be the way they are, especially when I have nothing to do with them since things were this way far before I was born. I do not feel I should be at fault for certain things.
At the same time the Lord has always shown himself incredibly reliable and trustworthy within my life. He is tremendously supportive and protective and is walking me through this journey step by step.
I can certainly testify to the remarkable things that God has done all throughout my life regardless of the times when I get discouraged by particular things. It is during those precious moments with him where I am reminded that everything will be alright just like he said it would.

In order to have the right perspective on life, our focus must be on Christ. Let us me rooted and grounded in him because he is the author and founder of our lives. The things of this world can discourage but with our lives merged with Christ’s life, our perspective changes and we have victory through him. Hallelujah!
