What Is God’s Purpose?

by Apostle Gabriel Cross

Always remember God’s purpose. In all phases of life, develop the habit of asking these two questions. What is your purpose for me in this? Father, what is your purpose, for this situation?

When we have lost our purpose and His purpose for us, then we are blind. When you are blind, losing sight of God’s purpose, you’re liable of bumping into anything or doing the wrong thing.

LIVE YOUR LIFE LOST IN HIS PURPOSE, not the enemy’s . . .

  3. What a needed word! I have felt lost, not knowing my purpose, and somewhat useless in these last months. I went to a new church a couple of weeks ago, and when the pastor prayed at the end of the service, he singled me out for prayer. And, amazingly, without having met me or knowing my struggles, he prayed my heart’s requests or desires, for God to reignite in me the work that I had stopped doing and to show me my purpose and remind me that I still have value and work to do. I was completely stunned, and I thanked God for the Holy Spirit. I am still shaken by the knowledge that God hears us,even though a part of me has always believed it, and that He would and could confirm His love and answers through others, if we are open to listen! I thought you might like to read of that encounter.

    • Regina, thank you for sharing. God loves to communicate with his children! So glad that he met your need through Holy Spirit. He knows you and your name and loves you so much. Your latter days will be fulfilling and greater than what preceded it. You are needed for such a time as this. Pray these two questions daily and God will reveal more of his heart regarding your purpose to you. Listening is so important.

  4. I think knowing and understanding what God is doing and what He means to do is one of the keys to truly walking in His love and power.

    • Yes and amen! These are keys to walking in His love and power. He loves to communicate His heart with us. We have to stop and listen to Him.

      • The stopping and listening is perhaps the greatest battle of true Christianity.

      • True, but stopping and listening to God brings great rewards. We do so much better with him than trying to do things our way!

  7. As believers, no matter what is happening in our lives, we can always ask that question to God…what purpose do You have for me in this? Such hope and peace we have because we know that God does have a purpose in every single event in our lives. Thank you for this message of hope.

  8. Good blog post! It’s so true and when we love God with all our heart, soul, mind we will align our goals with his. Not something I’m perfect at yet. Still so much to consider when working full time and so much going on. But even in the busyness we can pray and ask for us to know His will and do it!

    • It is so important to listen and know God’s purpose for you in the middle of your busyness. He makes things simple when we pause to listen as we go through our day.

  10. The Bible says that men and God have the same image; the same identity. The purpose of God and the purpose of men are all the same. Men is the very image of God. One way to understand this is through existence. God is existence. Existence is eternal, permanent is beyond space and time and causation. In the beginning was God; God is existence. Men is existence. Everything you want to about God you find in yourself. You are the image of God. God and Men are the same. In the beginning was God. In the end will be God. In the end will be men. The mistake we unconsciousness make is believe that the world exist.

    • God our Creator made us in His image. We need to honor God and ask him what His purpose is for us today.

      • In the beginning was Good (1) in the end will be God (1).
        God(1)+0=1
God(1)+(man or world)= 2 it is very wrong.
There are not 2 realities. It is only one. God can not be the cause of result 2. Because still 1God.

  13. I totally agree with you, sometimes it’s very difficult to find our purpose in life because of events that have occurred both in areas of our lives that we have control over and other things that we have no control over, I think that in order to find God’s purpose for us we need to earnestly ask in prayer for the answers and to have the path revealed to us but be willing to open our hearts and follow the path and exercise faith.

    • Yes, prayer requires a conversation, asking and listening to God’s answer. He will make our purpose clear, as we listen!
