Nobody can stop you from being loyal to the past, but you. No one can stop you from undervaluing, undermining, and discounting yourself, at the expense of someone else, or some substance, or some detriment you’re feeding or doing to your body. Every time you speak death over, hate on, or disparage yourself, you clip your wings from flying.

When I played basketball in middle school my coach used to tell me, “David, you’re blocking your own shot.” I had to relearn how to put my hands on the ball 🏀, in order to shoot properly.
It’s the same way with life. We “block our own shot” when we don’t live like the person God says we are.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Blessings, brother!
