Hungry And Thirsty For The Lord?

by Hazel Straub

The Lord says:

Do you have the same hunger for me as you have for food, possessions, comfort, and entertainment? Do you long to eat and drink the delicacies of my spiritual food and drink, more than anything else? I desire to sup with you but you are too busy. My heart yearns for you to spend more time with me, so I can satisfy your true thirst and hunger.

Rest and worship, as did the woman, who desired my presence more than the approval of men. She broke her alabaster box and poured its costly precious perfume, on my head, as fragrant worship that remained with me, when I laid down my life for you. (Matthew 26:6-13)

I long for worshipers that desire me more than anything else. It is time for you to cry out to me: Make me more hungry and thirsty for you, Jesus!

Oh, who will pay the price, to truly worship me, seeking me with their whole heart? Come away with me, my beloved.

“He has brought me to his banqueting place, And his banner over me is love [waving overhead to protect and comfort me]. (Song of Songs 2:4 AMP)

  2. “Do I desire the presence and approval of God more than that of men?” This is a good question, Hazel! I’ve seen this idea twice already this morning while reading on Word Press. I love how the Holy Spirit leads and guides us! Blessings.

  3. O that I would always desire Him as much He as does me . . . literally loving me to death.
